  • Publication number: 20240058153
Abstract: An improved syndesmosis reduction device has a wrap of elastic material extending a length L from a first end to a second end with an open window or slot positioned in an intermediate portion of the wrap spaced from the ends. The wrap is configured to achieve a reduction of an injured ankle and is facilitated by the elastic nature of the ankle wrap. The reduction is facilitated by circumferentially wrapping the wrap from a leg to a foot or vice versa in a compressive fashion by securing the first end by wrapping and stretching the wrap to the second end. The window or slot is to permit an incision at the ankle for hardware placement without the need to remove the wrap and without loss of the reduction achieved.

Abstract: Techniques for improving computing device operations are provided. A system can include an organizational database that stores a centralized set of organizational data having a plurality of device objects and a plurality of employee objects. The system can receive a notification associated with the first employee object. Additionally, the system can determine, using the organizational database, that the first device object is associated with the first employee. Moreover, the system can access a device policy for the first device object. Furthermore, the system can evaluate the device policy based at least in part on data associated with the first employee object and the notification. The evaluation of the device policy includes running a query expression against the centralized set of organizational data to return a query result. Subsequently, the system can execute an action based on the query result. The action can be associated with the first computing device.

  • Publication number: 20240015100
Abstract: Starting a spanning tree protocol (STP) process in a network device excludes performing a root bridge election sequence. The network device receives and learns the STP roles and STP states of its ports based on the received bridge protocol data units (BPDUs) during a quiescent period of time subsequent to starting STP processing. Port role and port state learning occur absent the generation and transmission of BPDUs during the quiescent period of time. Subsequent to the end of the quiescent period, the network device commences generating and transmitting BPDUs.

  • Patent number: 11866198
Abstract: A method and system provide the ability to autonomously operate an unmanned aerial system (UAS) over long durations of time. The UAS vehicle autonomously takes off from a take-off landing-charging station and autonomously executes a mission. The mission includes data acquisition instructions in a defined observation area. Upon mission completion, the UAS autonomously travels to a target landing-charging station and performs an autonomous precision landing on the target landing-charging station. The UAS autonomously re-charges via the target landing-charging station. Once re-charged, the UAS is ready to execute a next sortie. When landed, the UAS autonomously transmits mission data to the landing-charging station for in situ or cloud-based data processing.
