  • Patent number: 11635545
Abstract: Improved mechanisms for collecting information from a diverse suite of sensors and systems, calculating the current precipitation, atmospheric water vapor, atmospheric liquid water content, or precipitable water and other atmospheric-based phenomena, for example presence and intensity of fog, based upon these sensor readings, predicting future precipitation and atmospheric-based phenomena, and estimating effects of the atmospheric-based phenomena on visibility, for example by calculating runway visible range (RVR) estimates and forecasts based on the atmospheric-based phenomena.

  • Patent number: 11586756
Abstract: An article management system collects articles from different sources, processes each article to extract information about the article (such as the topics covered in the article), and stores the information in one or more knowledge graphs. The system also maintains user profiles for each of its users. Each user profile includes a user genome representing the user's interests and preferences. The information in the knowledge graphs can be used to select articles to be displayed to users of the article management system. Articles can be displayed as part of the search results for an associated topic or concept, as part of a personalized feed that is generated based on the data in a user's profile, or as part of a feature that displays multiple articles that cover a given topic from multiple different viewpoints. The system can also provide a platform for users to create and publish research collections.

  • Publication number: 20220403683
Abstract: A two-pull, automatic reset, latch system is configured to operate during a no-power scenario and a power scenario. The latch system includes a release system, a release lever, and a coupling lever. The release lever is pivotally engaged to a stationary structure about a first axis. The coupling lever pivots about a second axis offset from the first axis, and is adapted to couple the release lever to the release system during a no-power scenario and upon two actuations of the release lever. The coupling lever is further adapted to maintain decoupling of the release lever from the release system during a power scenario.

  • Publication number: 20220323142
Abstract: Systems, devices, and methods for transvascular ablation of target tissue. The devices and methods may, in some examples, be used for splanchnic nerve ablation to increase splanchnic venous blood capacitance to treat at least one of heart failure and hypertension. For example, the devices disclosed herein may be advanced endovascularly to a target vessel in the region of a thoracic splanchnic nerve (TSN), such as a greater splanchnic nerve (GSN) or a TSN nerve root. Also disclosed are methods of treating heart failure, such as HFpEF, by endovascularly ablating a thoracic splanchnic nerve to increase venous capacitance and reduce pulmonary blood pressure.
