  • Publication number: 20130322165
Abstract: A method for programming gated phase-change memory cells, each with a gate, source and drain, having s?2 programmable cell-states including an amorphous RESET state and at least one crystalline state includes applying a programming signal between the source and drain of a memory cell to program that cell to a desired cell-state; and when programming the cell from a crystalline state to the RESET state, applying a bias voltage to the gate of the cell to increase the cell resistance.

  • Publication number: 20130258767
Abstract: A phase-change memory cell includes a phase change material; a reference electrical terminal disposed on first side of the phase change material; first and second electrical terminals disposed on a second side of the phase change material; the phase-change material configured to be reversibly transformable between an amorphous phase and a crystalline phase, in response to a phase-altering electrical signal applied to the phase-change material via the reference electrical terminal and one or more of the first and second electrical terminals; a resistance measurement unit configured to measure a respective electrical resistance between each of the first and electrical terminals and the reference electrical terminal; and a mathematical operation unit configured to determine a mathematical relation between the respective electrical resistances measured between each of the electrical terminals and the reference electrical terminal.

  • Patent number: 8397927
Abstract: The break-open valve (1) for a container (21) comprises a break-away element (4) which can be twisted off by turning an activator (3). The valve (1) can be used for hermetically sealing a container (21) until its first opening and also for making it tamper-evident. The activator (3) is rotatably affixed to the valve head (2). The activator (3) comprises an inserted disk (16) with at least one opening (10) and a socket (5) which engages the break-away element (4). The activator (3) further comprises a membrane (17) which protects the contents within the activator (3) from contaminants entering through spout (18). The valve (1) has the advantage that it is cost efficient in its production, that it is easy to use and that it is suitable for dispensing sterile contents in more than one dose.

  • Patent number: 8233317
Abstract: A phase change memory cell that includes a bottom electrode, a top electrode separated from the bottom electrode, and growth-dominated phase change material deposited between the bottom electrode and the top electrode and contacting the bottom electrode and the top electrode and surrounded by insulation material at sidewalls thereof. The phase change memory cell in a reset state only includes an amorphous phase of the growth-dominated phase change material within an active volume of the phase change memory cell.

  • Publication number: 20050274481
Abstract: A flexible die case system for forming a variety of face plates used in telecommunications equipment without having to replace the mold base is provided. The system includes a main insert for forming a first portion of the face plate and a sub-insert for forming a second portion of the face plate. The second portion includes the minor variations that might be required to accommodate minor variations in face plate requirements. For example, the second portion can be used to change the number, size and location of apertures used for light emitting diodes, as well as the number, size and location of ports used to make connections to the electronics carried by or associated with the face plate.
