  • Patent number: 11706863
Abstract: An electronic device is configured to determine apart (161) of a light effect for a first period and determine a succeeding part (186) of the light effect for a second period succeeding the first period. The electronic device is further configured to determine a likelihood that a second original light command specifying a part (162) of a light effect for the second period will not arrive at its destination and transmit an original first light command or determine and transmit an alternative first light command in dependence on the likelihood and/or the determined succeeding part of the light effect. The original first light command specifies the part of the light effect and the alternative first light command is determined based on the part and the succeeding part of the light effect and specifies a portion of the light effect for both the first period and the second period.

  • Patent number: 11690684
Abstract: Transducer-based systems can be configured to display a graphical representation of a transducer-based device, the graphical representation including graphical elements corresponding to transducers of the transducer-based device, and also including between graphical elements respectively associated with a set of the transducers and respectively associated with a region of space between the transducers of the transducer-based device. Selection of graphical elements and/or between graphical elements can cause activation of the set of transducers associated with the selected elements. Selection of a plurality of graphical elements and/or between graphical elements can cause visual display of a corresponding activation path in the graphical representation. Visual characteristics of graphical elements and between graphical elements can change based on an activation-status of the corresponding transducers.

  • Patent number: 11689204
Abstract: Embodiments of the disclosure are directed to a system having a memory module, a voltage generation module, and a plurality of multiplexors. The memory module has a plurality of memory blocks. The voltage generation module supplies two or more voltage rails. The multiplexors are electrically connected to the voltage generation module. Each memory block is electrically connected to one of the multiplexors. Each multiplexor is configured to switch between the two or more voltage rails based on an operational parameter of each memory block. The operational parameter of each memory block may be process control speed, storage status, an operating mode, temperature, or any combination thereof. • Patent number: 11687546
Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention provide a method and system for processing a query on a set of data blocks in analytical databases. The query is on a set of data blocks, having at least one attribute and specifies at least one selection condition on the attribute. The selection condition is associated with at least one selection expression. Attribute value information on each attribute is generated for each data block. Next, a condition is generated on each attribute to negate the selection expression, if the selection expression has a negation operator. Additional conditions are generated for each selection expression that does not contain a negation operation. The attribute value is used to select the positive and negative subsets of data blocks for each condition. Next, a negative subset that does not require processing to evaluate the query is skipped and the positive subsets and the non-skipped negative subsets are processed.

  • Publication number: 20230196211
Abstract: Generally, the present disclosure is directed to systems and methods that provide a simple, scalable, yet effective strategy to perform transfer learning with a mixture of experts (MoE). In particular, the transfer of pre-trained representations can improve sample efficiency and reduce computational requirements for new tasks. However, representations used for transfer are usually generic, and are not tailored to a particular distribution of downstream tasks. In contrast, example systems and methods of the present disclosure use expert representations for transfer with a simple, yet effective, strategy.

  • Patent number: 11682285
Abstract: Embodiments of the disclosure provide for a system and method for determining a circuit breaker position in a power distribution/load center. In one embodiment, the load center includes a plurality of circuit breakers. Each circuit breaker includes a base and a plurality of contact components coupled to the base. In that regard, an activation of a combination of the contact components indicates a position of the circuit breaker within the load center. The activation of the combination indicates that one or more of the contact components is in contact with one or more pegs coupled to the load center. When this occurs, a data transceiver coupled to each of the contact components transmits a data signal. The data signal includes a plurality of data bits, where each data bit indicates whether a corresponding contact component of the combination is activated or not activated.

  • Publication number: 20230185684
Abstract: In an approach, a primary data center is provided including primary source and primary target database systems, where a function is activated causing the primary target database system to: include a copy of data and receive analysis queries from the primary source database system; and execute the analysis queries on data. A processor, in response to detecting a failure in the primary source database system: offloads queries intended for the primary source database system to a secondary source database system of a secondary data center also including a secondary target database system and a copy of data, where the function is deactivated. A processor, responsive to the primary target database system being available: receives analysis queries, processed by the secondary source database system, of the offloaded queries; and copies data to the secondary target database system. A processor causes the function to be activated in the secondary data center.
