    Abstract: A protective case for a portable electronic device includes a rigid plastic frame bonded to a stretchable rubber cover and a back panel insert that can be removably inserted into a pocket in the rear of the stretchable rubber cover and plastic frame. To position a device in the case, the device is simply inserted into the front opening of the rigid plastic frame and stretchable rubber cover such that the edges of the stretchable cover stretch over the device and secure the device in the case. A variety of different removable back panels allow the stand to be easily reconfigured to include a stand for the device case, a pocket adapted to hold payment cards, a folding style wallet, a mirror or a fabric covering.

    Abstract: A water resistant device case includes a front and back assembly that mate to enclose an electronic device. The front assembly includes a rigid front frame, a touch screen cover bonded to the front frame, an inner bumper attached to the rigid front frame and an elastomeric main seal attached around a periphery of the rigid front frame. The back assembly includes a rigid back frame, an elastomeric over mold formed on an exterior of the black frame and an inner bumper attached to the rigid back frame. A snap tab attached to the rigid back frame mates with a snap hook on the front assembly to hold the front and back assemblies together when the device is enclosed within the case. A main water resistant seal is formed around a perimeter of the front and back assemblies by the elastomeric main seal on the front assembly being held against an inner surface of the rigid back frame.

    Abstract: A protective case for a portable device having a touch screen is constructed from a back frame, a front frame and a stretchable cover. The back frame receives the portable device through an open front and the stretchable cover is stretched over the back frame and the device. A portion of the cover stretches over the back frame and portable device such that the portable device is securely held in the back frame and the touch screen can be accessed and used when the device is mounted in the back frame and stretchable cover. A front frame with a transparent screen protector that allows the touch screen of the portable device to be used while the device is fully enclosed in the case is removably coupled to the back frame with grasping arms that connect to mounting portions on the back frame that extend through openings in the stretchable cover. A debris resistant seal is created between the front frame and the stretchable cover through a compression fit.
