  • Patent number: 10831757
Abstract: An online system manages data by determining relevance of data dimensions to users. The online system determines which data dimensions a user is likely to be interested in. If a user requests to access a data set that includes data of different dimensions, the online system analyzes the dimensions' relevance to the user before providing the data set to the user. The online system provides the data to the user by prioritizing data dimensions that are more relevant to the user. As such, the online system improves the user experience by allowing users to conveniently and quickly locate relevant data and minimizing the distraction caused by irrelevant data. The online system may create and provide a user interface to present data dimensions that are determined to be relevant.

  • Patent number: 10821963
Abstract: A control strategy is provided for a hybrid vehicle that will increase drivability during low or decreasing driver demands. Coordination between shifting the transmission and stopping or (non-demand) starting of the engine can increase drivability. The vehicle includes a motor/generator with one side selectively coupled to the engine and another side selectively coupled to the transmission. The control strategy acts when an engine start or stop is requested while driver demand is decreasing and a shift of the transmission is demanded. To inhibit these events from proceeding simultaneously, the control strategy delays the engine from starting or stopping until the transmission has finished shifting, or vice versa.

  • Patent number: 10793245
Abstract: A safety system for a boat, watercraft or other vehicle includes a kill switch connected to the motor for preventing the motor from running under dangerous circumstances. The system includes a fob that wirelessly communicates with the kill switch, so that the motor only runs when the fob is within a predetermined distance from the captain's console. Other sensors communicate with the kill switch, either hard-wired together or wirelessly, upon detection of dangerous situations, including proximity sensors to detect if a swimmer is near the propeller or if the captain is not in position at the helm, gate sensors to detect when gates on the boat are in an open position, and ladder sensors to detect when a ladder is in a down position. The system may also include an alarm emitting a visual or audible warning to the boat captain based on input from the sensors.

  • Publication number: 20200297909
Abstract: A fluid pumping system may comprise a pump and a fluid line state detector having, a receptacle, at sensor, and an illuminator. The system may further comprise a fluid transfer set including an output line for mating into the receptacle. The system may further comprise a controller in data communication with the fluid line state detector configured to power the illuminator and monitor an output signal of the sensor when the outlet line is in the receptacle to determine a dry tube light intensity value. The controller may be further configured to govern operation of the pump to prime the output line with fluid. The controller may be further configured to power the illuminator, monitor the output signal, and halt operation of the pump when the output signal indicates the light intensity value has dropped below a primed line threshold which is dependent upon the dry tube intensity value.

  • Patent number: 10773634
Abstract: An array (166, 184, 194, 230, 256) of multiple light heads (170, 186, 194, 236) for a vehicle (100) has a primary Controller Area Network (CAN) serial data bus (108, 224) to carry first serial communications among spaced-apart CAN nodes (112, 118, 130, 136, 140, 154, 220, 260, 288) communicatively coupled thereto. The first serial communications initiate a flash sequence from the array via second serial communications provided to the multiple light heads communicatively coupled to a nested CAN serial data bus (180, 190, 200, 238). An array controller (130, 136, 140, 220, 260) segregates the nested CAN serial data bus from the primary CAN serial data bus while providing a communications bridge between nodes of the two buses. Accordingly, light heads on the nested bus provide self-identification and diagnostic information to other nodes such as a computer (288) configuration utility (290) featuring a graphical user interface (292).
