  • Patent number: 10294561
Abstract: A method for forming metal on a dielectric includes forming a seed layer on a surface including a reactant element. A first metal layer is formed on the seed layer wherein the first metal layer wets the seed layer. A second metal layer is formed on the first metal layer wherein the second metal layer wets the first metal layer. Diffuse the reactant element of the seed layer into the first metal layer by annealing to convert the first metal layer to a dielectric layer.

  • Patent number: 10296758
Abstract: Systems and techniques are disclosed for detecting whether a wearable computing device is worn by a user or not. The detection can be made based on whether the device is secured to a user or based on a sensor. A device worn by a user may be operated in a private mode such that the user wearing the device is provided information that is useful while wearing the device. For example, the user may receive message notifications, news updates, telephone call information, or the like. A wearable computing device maybe operated in a public mode while not being worn by a user. While in the public mode, the device may provide non user specific information such as a current time, media items, or the like.

  • Patent number: 10296606
Abstract: At a client-side component of a storage group, a read descriptor generated in response to a read request directed to a first data store is received. The read descriptor includes a state transition indicator corresponding to a write that has been applied at the first data store. A write descriptor indicative of a write that depends on a result of the read request is generated at the client-side component. The read descriptor and the write descriptor are included in a commit request for a candidate transaction at the client-side component, and transmitted to a transaction manager.

  • Patent number: 10296435
Abstract: Disclosed are various embodiments for processing and storing mass data, where the data may include metrics generated based on performance of an event in a monitored system. Metrics describing a state of a monitored system may be received, accessed, and aggregated to generate a data model that describes performance of the monitored system. The metrics utilized in generating the data model may be disregarded after the data model has been generated. An output describing the state of the monitored system may be generated based on the data model, and the output may be communicated over a network, for example, to a requesting service.

  • Patent number: 10294486
Abstract: The present invention provides recombinant DNA constructs, vectors and molecules comprising a polynucleotide sequence encoding a florigenic FT protein operably linked to a vegetative stage promoter, which may also be a meristem-preferred or meristem-specific promoter. Transgenic plants, plant cells and tissues, and plant parts are further provided comprising a polynucleotide sequence encoding a florigenic FT protein. Transgenic plants comprising a florigenic FT transgene may produce more bolls, siliques, fruits, nuts, or pods per node on the transgenic plant, particularly on the main stem of the plant, relative to a control or wild type plant. Methods are further provided for introducing a florigenic FT transgene into a plant, and planting transgenic FT plants in the field including at higher densities. Transgenic plants of the present invention may thus provide greater yield potential than wild type plants and may be planted at a higher density due to their altered plant architecture.

  • Patent number: 10292837
Abstract: A disassembly tool for disassembly of a first component of a prosthesis to a second component of the prosthesis for use in joint arthroplasty. The tool includes a first member having a radial portion operably associated with the first component and adapted to exert a radial force on the first component. A second member operably associated with the second component is also included and the second member has a second member longitudinal axis. A drive mechanism is coupled to the second member, such that as the drive mechanism is activated, the second member exerts a force against the second component in the direction of the longitudinal axis. Such exertion of force against the second member further causes the second member to move relative to the first member along the second member longitudinal axis.
