  • Patent number: 11430295
Abstract: A device, system, and method are provided for inspecting, activating or voiding scratch-off instant lottery tickets. A remote point-of-sale device has a detector system that detects tampering with the coating placed over concealed game play information on the tickets, and reads coded identification and authentication information on the tickets. The device automatically communicates the coded identification and tampering data to a central computer system of a lottery. The central computer system provides activation signals back to the point of sale on a ticket-by-ticket basis. The device, method and system provide automated generation and communication of ticket-by-ticket tampering, activation, and voiding data between the remote device and a central computer system of a lottery.

  • Patent number: 11391261
Abstract: A system and method by which energy from ocean waves is converted into hydrogen, and that hydrogen is used to manifest electrical and mechanical energies by an energy consuming device. A portion of the generated electrical power is communicated to water electrolyzers which produce oxygen and hydrogen from water as gases. At least a portion of the generated hydrogen gas is transferred to a transportation ship via a hose-carrying, remotely operated (or otherwise unmanned) vehicle, and subsequently transferred to an energy-consuming module or infrastructure, where a portion of the hydrogen is consumed in order to manifest a generation of electrical energy, a mechanical motion, and/or a chemical reaction.

  • Patent number: 11384727
Abstract: A buoyant hydrodynamic pump is disclosed that can float on a surface of a body of water over which waves tend to pass. The pump incorporates an open-bottomed tube with a constriction. The tube partially encloses a substantial volume of water with which the tube's constriction interacts, creating and/or amplifying oscillations therein in response to wave action. Wave-driven oscillations result in periodic upward ejections of portions of the water inside the tube that can be collected in a reservoir that is at least partially positioned above the mean water level of the body of water, or pressurized by compressed air or gas, or both. Water within such a reservoir may return to the body of water via a turbine, thereby generating electrical power (making the device a wave engine), or else the device's pumping action can be used for other purposes such as water circulation, propulsion, or cloud seeding.

  • Publication number: 20220198576
Abstract: A computer system comprising input from a plurality of data sources, performing analysis, and configured to select and apply multiple machine learning algorithms in a conduit of components to predict cost reimbursement probability and predict figure, billable line items per terms, and recommend transaction code input, order and formats. When invoked by request from an integrated client, a recommendation is retrieved by processing a query service from the system through application program interfaces and presented to a user. User acceptance and quantifiable outcomes of each transaction are used as supervisory and reinforcement functions to iterate and improve prediction, and outcomes; through subsequent applied models to monitor evolutions of system input considerations. A digital application layer provides a visual interface for the configuration of the machine signals which modulate system performance, and exhibits reporting on measurements tied to specific decisions to deliver a recommendation.

  • Publication number: 20220182818
Abstract: Various techniques and systems are described herein for anonymization of basic service set identifiers (BSSIDs) for wireless access points (WAPs). In various examples, a first WAP may determine a first BSSID. The first WAP may generate a first beacon packet comprising the first BSSID. A first client packet may be received, the first client packet comprising the first BSSID as a destination address of the first client packet. A determination may be made that at least a threshold amount of time has passed since the first BSSID was designated for use in beacon packets. Thereafter, the first WAP may determine a second BSSID different from the first BSSID. The first WAP may generate a second beacon packet comprising the second BSSID.
