  • Publication number: 20250147004
Abstract: Disclosed are methods, materials and devices for approximation of blood volume in a fluid. A blood indicator panel (BIP) device is provided for rapid blood volume measurement (in mls.) in a fluid (e.g., a collected surgical fluid). An RBC flocculant (e.g., polyDADMAC) may be used to induce more rapid sedimentation of red blood cells from the fluid. A series of markings is provided on one side of the BIP, each marking corresponding to a volume of blood (in milliliters). The markings are calculated by use of a formula: Vb=Vm/(Hct×1.2), wherein Hct is an average blood hematocrit, and 1.2 is an RBC packing ratio value for a conventional 1,200 ml waste collection canister (1.2 alternatively referenced as “?”). The BIP does not employ centrifugation, electronic image transmission or analysis, is temperature independent, and is accurate to about +/?10%.

  • Publication number: 20250149976
Abstract: In an embodiment, during an overload or short circuit condition, a current limit circuit of an inverter is utilized in a pulse-by-pulse manner, which in turn causes the AC output of the inverter to operate in a hiccup mode (e.g., pulse-by-pulse based on and off dependent upon the output current) and automatically recover once the operating parameters (e.g., output current) are within the proper ranges. The pulse-by-pulse current limit circuit is configured to protect the switching circuits of the inverter from shorting or device failure during any peak operating voltage conditions by ensuring on/off timing accuracy of the inverter.

  • Publication number: 20250146341
Abstract: A separable mounting hinge device including two detachably engageable leaf hinge members wherein the first hinge member includes at least two knuckles affixed around a pin leaving at least one open knuckle seat therebetween. The second hinge member includes at least one open knuckle capable of operationally engaging around the pin and at least one leaf-knuckle protrusion. The second hinge member may also include a retention member. These hinge members' knuckle(s) and affixed pin open knuckle seat(s) operationally interlock thereby allowing for typical hinge movements, while detachment of said members simply requires the application of force within specifically designated angular ranges to overcome the protrusion, and potentially included retention member. As designed, the separable mounting hinge device minimizes the likelihood of any incidental or accidental detachment and obviates the need to unfasten at least one hinge from a door, panel, or frame only to refasten it later.
