Abstract: A method can include intercepting, by an interceptor positioned between a transfer system and a transfer settlement system, a transaction prior to the transaction being provided to the transfer settlement system. The method can include confirming that data from the transaction matches information in an immutable ledger to which parameters of the transaction have been provided by a notary system that confirms the parameters of the transaction and applies a signature using a private key to the transaction in response to confirming the parameters. The method can include, in response to confirming that the data matches the information, providing the transaction for settlement by the transfer settlement system.

Abstract: An expansion control assembly may include a stabilizer connected to a deck frame, the stabilizer having a lateral receiver and a sliding member extending through the lateral receiver, the sliding member connected to an adjustable side deck. An expansion control assembly may include a bottom bracket connected to the stabilizer, the bottom bracket comprising a first retaining element and a second retaining element. An expansion control assembly may include a latch pivotally connected to the adjustable side deck, the latch comprising a first tab and an engaging element configured to engage the first retaining element and the second retaining element. Methods of moving an adjustable side deck may include rotation of the latch away from the bottom bracket and sliding the latch away from, or towards, the deck frame.

Abstract: A method, in accordance with one aspect, includes writing, by a tape drive, data tracks to a data band of a magnetic tape having servo bands flanking the data band, the writing being performed using a magnetic head that is not designed for a format of the magnetic tape. The writing includes overwriting a portion of each of the servo bands with the data tracks. A method, in accordance with another aspect, includes writing data tracks to a data band using a magnetic head that is not designed for a format of the magnetic tape. An effective pitch of servo readers of the magnetic head used simultaneously during the writing matches a servo reader pitch specification of the format of the magnetic tape. An average effective pitch of write transducers of the magnetic head is greater than a data track pitch specification of the format of the magnetic tape.

Abstract: The present disclosure generally relates to wireless power transfer systems, and more specifically, relates to using a wireless power system for inductive telemetry communications. Accordingly, the present disclosure describes providing an inductive telemetry control signal to the wireless power coils associated with a transcutaneous energy transfer system to generate a telemetry communication signal. The transcutaneous energy transfer system includes a wireless power transfer transmit coil and a wireless power transfer receive coil. The telemetry communication signal may be transmitted from the wireless power transfer receive coil to the wireless power transfer transmit coil, as well as from the wireless power transfer transmit coil to the wireless power transfer receive coil for bidirectional communication.

Abstract: A disposable fluid transfer and mixing device is disclosed and includes an injector support surface for receiving an injection device thereon. A lyophilized drug vial, a diluent vial and a syringe are also attached to the device. The device features fluid passageways and a manual valve that may be manipulated so that the syringe may be used to transfer diluent from the diluent vial to the lyophilized drug vial, for reconstitution of the drug. The valve may also be configured so that the reconstituted drug is transferred from the lyophilized drug vial to the injection device.

Abstract: Systems and methods described herein provide dynamic network slicing. A network device receives, from an application server, application performance requirements for an application and receives capability and performance information of an existing network slice that is servicing a User Equipment (UE) device using the application. The network device determines, based on the capability and performance information, that a new network slice is needed to support the application performance requirements for the UE device; and sends a signal to initiate a slice creation process for the new network slice.

Abstract: A flat battery pack that includes a cooling system is described. The cooling system, in some embodiments, includes a cooling assembly and heat exchange assembly that function to remove heat from the battery pack via cooling, such as cooling due to water or another coolant flowing through multiple cooling channels of the battery pack. The cooling system may be configured and/or adapted to accommodate placement of the flat battery pack in a chassis or frame of an electric truck, such that the flat battery pack is partially integrated into the chassis/frame while being cooled during operation.

Abstract: Technical solutions are provided to facilitate computer assistance during a surgery to prevent complications by detecting, identifying, and highlighting specific anatomical structures in a video of the surgery using machine learning. According to some aspects, a computer vision system is trained to detect several structures in the video of the surgery, and further to distinguish between the structures despite their similar appearance.

Abstract: A crop processing roll has the outer cylindrical surface thereof hardened differently at selected areas along the axial length of the crop processing roll. Typically, the high wear areas on at least one end of the crop processing roll have higher levels of hardening, while the low wear area at the central portion of the roll has a lesser level of hardening. The preferable system for hardening is a High Velocity Air Fuel system in which a powdered carbide and metal is mixed in a combustion chamber with air and fuel before applied through an injection gun at different flow rates to selected areas on the crop processing roll. Alternatively, the crop processing roll can be segmented with various segments having different levels of surface hardening, which can be done by conventional heat treating, electroplating or HVAF application of material, and assembled as appropriate to position hardened areas where needed.

The detector may be used in a system including a plurality of such detectors plugged into a plurality of electrical sockets in an electrical circuit in a structure. In use, the detector(s), upon detecting the predetermined hazard, wirelessly alert a monitoring unit that then wirelessly transmits a warning signal.

Abstract: A pool or spa system includes networked pool or spa devices that can be dynamically configured with network addresses by a controller. The controller can transmit a device discovery request on a network and can receive a discovery response from pool or spa devices that require a network address. The system determines and assigns the network addresses for the pool or spa devices based on unique device identifiers associated with the responding pool or spa devices. The network addresses assigned to the pool or spa device are transmitted to the pool or spa device to be used by the pool or spa devices to communicate with the controller over the network. The system can be used to discover and assign addresses to various types of pool or spa devices, such as pumps, underwater lights, chlorinators, water feature controllers, remote controllers, and/or other types of devices.
