  • Patent number: 10284103
Abstract: A power converter includes first and second DC terminals between which the power converter is operable to generate a voltage difference. The power converter also includes a control unit that is configured to operate in a normal mode during normal operation of the power converter and in a fault mode when a fault occurs in a respective DC power transmission medium that is operatively connected in use to one of the first or second DC terminals. The control unit in the normal mode generates a normal operating voltage difference between the first and second DC terminals. The control unit in the fault mode generates a modified operating voltage difference between the first and second DC terminals while maintaining the respective voltage potential with respect to earth of the other of the first and second DC terminals. The modified operating voltage difference is lower than the normal operating voltage difference.

  • Publication number: 20180154227
Abstract: Attachment of an interchangeable grip sleeve particularly suited for golf requires three basic securing movements. In the first movement, the grip is situated and secured into place on the shaft by fastening toe components at the lower, distal portion of the grip onto the shaft using an insertion tool. In the second movement, heel components of the grip are positioned onto the shaft, by either rotational torque or downward pressure, optionally using a tightening tool, which results in securing the upper, proximal portion of the grip onto the shaft. In the third movement, once both heel and toe embodiments of the grip have been fastened to the shaft, the internal core diameter of the grip is decreased in order to secure the grip to the shaft, such as by rotating or twisting the entire grip body, wherein an internal mechanism maintains the grip body in the torqued or twisted position, thereby preventing the grip body from rotating back.

  • Patent number: 9943969
Abstract: A robot with improved cleanliness for use in a clean environment is disclosed, having a uniform flow through the open interface between the clean environment and the interior of the robot housing, passing the particle generation area to an exhaust port, keeping the particles from the clean environment. The uniform flow reduces or eliminates the back flow, and further allows the scalability of the open interface to prevent particles generated from moving mechanisms within the robot housing to contaminate the clean environment. The uniform flow can be established by designing the flow dynamic, centering the exhaust port, or by restricting the flow along the elongated slot, for example, by uniformly restricting the flow along the elongated slot, or by implementing a restrictor along the elongated slot.
