  • Publication number: 20230295871
Abstract: Apparatus, methods, and fabrics for dewatering a nascent paper web, carried in a web sandwich, in a dewatering section of a papermaking machine. Water is driven from the web by a combination of mechanical pressure and compressed air, both typically applied in a nip. The mechanical pressure and air pressure can be applied in the same nip, or in separate nips, where the mechanical pressure is applied upstream, in the papermaking machine, from the air pressure application. The mechanical pressure can be lower than pressures used in conventional press sections of known papermaking machines. Air pressure is that pressure which can be contained in a seal section between the web sandwich and the structure supplying the air. Fabrics supporting the nascent paper web through the air dewatering station have limited lateral air flow under compressed air conditions, whereby air flows generally perpendicularly through the web being dewatered.

  • Patent number: 11732416
Abstract: A method of making a molded paper web. The method includes forming a nascent web from an aqueous solution of papermaking fibers, moving a dewatered web on a transfer surface, and applying a vacuum at a molding zone defined between the transfer surface and a molding roll. The molding roll includes a permeable patterned surface on an exterior of the molding roll. The method also includes transferring the dewatered web from the transfer surface to the permeable patterned surface at the molding zone. The vacuum is applied during the transferring of the dewatered web, and the papermaking fibers of the dewatered web are (i) redistributed on the permeable patterned surface and (ii) drawn into a plurality of recess of the permeable patterned surface, in order to form the molded paper web.

  • Publication number: 20230221727
Abstract: There is described a method of operating a distribution system. The distribution system comprises a number of carriers wherein the carriers are adapted to carry one or more goods. A transport plane of the distribution system supports the carriers. A control device controls the drive means. During an initialization of the distribution system the control device pre-defines a pattern of safe points on the transport plane, wherein on the safe points a carrier can be placed. After the initialization of the distribution system the control device calculates partial routes for the carriers so that the end position of each partial route is either one of the safe points or has a free path to one of the safe points to be reachable in the next partial route.

  • Patent number: 11653480
Abstract: According to one aspect, an apparatus includes a first system that generates heat, and a cooling arrangement. The cooling arrangement cools the first system, and includes a coolant source and a distribution arrangement. The coolant source provides a coolant in a first state that is distributed by the distribution arrangement to absorb the heat. The cooling arrangement includes a control arrangement and a heating arrangement. The control arrangement maintains the coolant in the first state at least a set point, the set point being a temperature that is above a dew point, by determining when to activate the heating arrangement to warm the coolant in the first state and, when it is determined by the control arrangement that the heating arrangement is to be activated, activating the heating arrangement to warm the coolant in the first state to maintain the temperature of the coolant at the set point.

  • Patent number: 11605183
Abstract: A method for aligning and merging contents from multiple collaborative workstations. Collaborative workstations are multiple workstations that contribute respective contents to be combined into a single computer-generated output. The content generated from each collaborative workstation is the collaborative content. Individual collaborative content is created from each workstation by a user drawing on a piece of paper that is placed on a workspace surface of the workstation. Collaborative contents contributed by multiple workstations are aligned such that a combined product (i.e., a single computer-generated output) including both virtual and physical content appears to be collaboratively drawn by multiple users on a single piece of paper.

  • Publication number: 20220378876
Abstract: Tumor cells often evade an immune response, e.g., by reducing or eliminating MHC expression and/or IFN-signaling, which enables uncontrolled growth. We demonstrate herein that antibody-based immunotherapy in combination with IL2 administration is an effective therapy against such resistant tumors. Specifically, the present disclosure relates to methods of treating a subject with cancer that is at least partially resistant to an MHC-dependent T cell response comprising administering to the subject: a. a polypeptide comprising IL2 or a functional variant thereof or a polynucleotide encoding a polypeptide comprising IL2 or a functional variant thereof; and b. antibody-based immunotherapy.
