  • Publication number: 20190017224
Abstract: A method of making a fibrous sheet. The method includes forming a nascent web from an aqueous solution of paper-making fibers, moving a dewatered web on a transfer surface, and applying a vacuum at a molding zone defined between the transfer surface and a molding roll. The molding roll includes a permeable patterned surface on an exterior of the molding roll. The method also includes transferring the dewatered web from the transfer surface to the permeable patterned surface at the molding zone. The vacuum is applied during the transferring of the dewatered web, and the papermaking fibers of the dewatered web are (i) redistributed on the permeable patterned surface and (ii) drawn into a plurality of recess of the permeable patterned surface, in order to form a molded paper web. The method further includes drying the molded paper web in a drying section to form a fibrous sheet.

  • Patent number: 10121149
Abstract: A method for ensuring hand hygiene compliance may include tracking dispensing of a plurality hand hygiene dispensers having hand sanitizer. Each hand hygiene dispenser can be associated with an individual user. A processor may determine dispensing rates of the plurality of hand hygiene dispensers for a plurality of predetermined time periods and each of the plurality of the hand hygiene dispensers is identified with an individual user. The average dispensing rate can be calculated taking a predetermined number of highest dispensing rates out of the plurality of predetermined time periods. The rates can be displayed to the users, and the users can be notified of proper hand hygiene compliance or if the average dispensing rate falls below a target threshold rate.

The cavity includes at least two reservoirs, a first reservoir and a second reservoir. The device also includes an elongated neck with a distal end having at least one distal opening for passage of a fluid, a proximal end, and a channel fluidly connected to the distal opening. The device also includes a cap at the proximal end of the elongated neck. The cap includes at least one aperture aligned with the channel of the elongated neck and is rotatably coupled to the housing such that rotating the cap relative to the housing selectively aligns the aperture with a first reservoir opening to provide fluid communication between the first reservoir and the channel, or aligns the aperture with a second reservoir opening to provide fluid communication between the second reservoir and the channel.

  • Publication number: 20180163790
Abstract: A clutch for an automatic transmission includes a clutch pack having a first set of friction disks interleaved with a second set of friction disks. The clutch further includes an annulus having an outer surface connected to the first friction disks and an inner surface. The annulus defines oil holes extending from the inner surface to the outer surface to permit oil to flow from the inner surface to the clutch pack. Air passageways are defined in the annulus and extend through the annulus permitting air to flow from the inner surface to the clutch pack to reduce drag losses between the first and second sets of disks. Each of the air passageways have an entrance that is radially inboard of an entrance of each of the oil holes.

  • Publication number: 20180106299
Abstract: According to embodiments of the present disclosure, a clutch pack is provided. The clutch pack includes a first set of clutch plates arranged in an alternating configuration with a second set of clutch plates. The first set of clutch plates has a plurality of friction pads made of friction material and defining channels in the friction material. The channels are configured to allow lubricant to flow between the friction pads. Each of the friction pads defines a groove in the friction pad. The groove is disconnected from the channels. The groove thereby creates a flow induced high pressure region forcing the first set of clutch plates to a center between the second set of clutch plates.

  • Patent number: 9820903
Abstract: A device for use with a bed having a frame and a supporting surface includes a flexible sheet with a tether strap connected to the sheet and extending from the sheet. The flexible sheet has opposed top and bottom surfaces, with the top surface having a high friction material with a higher coefficient of friction as compared to the bottom surface, which includes a low friction material. The tether strap is configured for connection to the frame of the bed to secure the sheet in place. A system incorporating the flexible sheet may also include an absorbent pad configured to be placed on the top surface of the sheet, where the high-friction top surface resists sliding of the absorbent pad, as well as one or more wedges having a base wall that the wedge rests on and a ramp surface configured to confront the sheet when the wedge is placed under the sheet. The base wall and the ramp surface may also contain high friction and low friction materials, respectively.

  • Patent number: 9462720
Abstract: An aligning apparatus for mounting cards into a housing space is provided. The aligning apparatus includes a first line card having a mating portion and a card guide assembly coupled to the first line card. The mating portion is configured to mate with a backplane of the housing space. The card guide assembly varies from a first height at a first portion to a second height at a second portion. The varying heights correspond to an arrangement of components on a neighboring card. The first and second portions are configured to guide directional movement of the first line card in relation to one or more components on the neighboring card during insertion of the first line card into the housing space. In this regard, the first line card is guided past the one or more components on the neighboring card as the mating portion of the first line card is moved toward the backplane.
