  • Publication number: 20210360154
Abstract: A display and image-capture device comprises a plurality of image sensors and a plurality of light-emitting elements disposed on a substrate. A plurality of lenses is disposed on a light-incident side of the image sensors, and the lenses are configured to direct light toward the image sensors. The image sensors may be configured to detect directional information of incident light, enabling the device to function as a plenoptic camera. In some examples, the image sensors and lenses are integrated into a plurality of microcameras.

  • Publication number: 20210355673
Abstract: Bamboo lumber products and fabrication techniques thereof are provided. Thick-wall bamboo culm is cut into multiple slats, each made up of a solid portion of culm. The slats are laminated, joined, or otherwise combined to form solid panels, boards, or other lumber products. The use of thick-walled bamboo and associated processes as disclosed allows for lumber products that have a lower glue-to-bamboo ratio and therefore provide superior characteristics compared to conventional techniques and products.

  • Publication number: 20210212270
Abstract: A mobile, semi-automated, multilayered aquaponic appliance for the transport and cultivation of plants, aquatic animals, farm foul and bees. The multi-layered aquaponic appliance utilizes vertical orientation to increase product yield and can be deployed indoors or outdoors. The appliance decreases reliance on municipal resources by generating its own water from an atmospheric condenser, collecting rainwater and harnessing photovoltaic technology that stores energy generated from the sun. The mobile capability of the appliance, when used in plurality, reduces the amount of space used therefore maximizing collective production for commercial applications. The appliance can be assembled and disassembled which allows it to be stored, operated and transported in a variety of spaces.

  • Publication number: 20200411190
Abstract: A diagnostic care coordination system assists a caregiver with treating a patient. The system comprises a diagnostic engine and a care engine. The diagnostic engine is configured to generate a working diagnosis of the patient. The diagnostic engine includes a static diagnosing web containing a plurality of information nodes and a dynamic diagnosing analyzer for presenting to a user a plurality of information requests. The dynamic diagnosing analyzer navigates a user through the plurality of information nodes of the static diagnosing web based upon received responses to said plurality of information requests. Based upon a route through the static diagnosing web as taken by the dynamic diagnosing analyzer, the diagnostic engine generates the working diagnosis. The care engine determines a treatment plan based upon said working diagnosis.

  • Patent number: 10856024
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for synchronizing audio feeds. A system obtains a plurality of audio feeds and identifies a base feed, a first feed, a base segment, and a first segment. The system also determines a plurality of time-shifted first segments that are each temporally offset from the first segment by a unique multiple of a granularity parameter. A plurality of correlation values between the base segment and each of the plurality of time-shifted first segments are also determined, as well as a first offset value corresponding to a particular time-shifted first segment of the plurality of time-shifted first segments having the highest correlation value. The first feed and/or supplemental content of the first feed is then synchronized with the base feed by at least temporally offsetting the first feed and/or supplemental content of the first feed by a temporal offset comprising/based on the selected first offset value.

  • Publication number: 20200275622
Abstract: A plant growing system and method that uses a chamber having a plurality of holes through which plant stalks can extend. A heating device in fluid communication with the chamber is configured to receive a liquid nutrient solution from the chamber, to vaporize the received liquid nutrient solution to create a nutrient vapor, and to supply the nutrient vapor to the chamber to create a first pressure inside the chamber that is greater than a second pressure immediately outside the chamber. The increased vapor pressure on the roots of the plants relative to the leaves of the plants accelerates plant growth.

  • Publication number: 20190316773
Abstract: A thermal oxidizer (50) employing an oxidation mixer (51), an oxidation chamber (52), a retention chamber (53) and a heat dissipater (54) forming a fluid flow path for thermal oxidation of a waste gas. In operation, the oxidation mixer (51) facilitates a combustible mixture of the waste gas and an oxidant into an combustible waste gas stream. A heating element (55) of the oxidation chamber (52) facilitates a primary combustion reaction of the combustible waste gas stream into an oxygenated waste gas stream. The retention chamber (53) facilitates a secondary combustion reaction of the oxygenated waste gas stream into oxidized gases. The heat dissipater (54) atmospherically vents of the oxidized gases. An oxidization controller (61) may be employed to regulate the operation of the thermal oxidizer (50), and a data logger (63) and a data reporter (65) may be employed for respectively logging and remotely reporting a regulation of the thermal oxidizer (50) by the oxidation controller (61).
