  • Patent number: 12227931
Abstract: Systems, processes, apparatus, and articles of manufacture that may be configured, designed, manufactured, transported, installed or operated to subsequently provide water distribution between or within areas of an infiltration field are provided. The water distribution within an infiltration field may be via a distribution conduit positioned in direct contact with a water egress portion of an infiltration field. The water egress portion of the infiltration field may be positioned at the bottom or along the sides of an infiltration field galley, at the bottom or along the sides of a channel, whether in a module or other application, at the bottom or along the sides of an infiltration baffle matrix, and/or at the bottom or along the sides of other water egress areas of an infiltration field.

  • Publication number: 20240400428
Abstract: Applied loads to the soil or material directly above the water treatment system components may be managed in embodiments so as to not exceed a maximum value similar to that imposed by walking, riding mowers, pedestrian traffic, or other lower load values. Managing the applied loads to soil or other material above a water infiltration field or other water treatment component serve to reduce or eliminate soil compaction and thereby maintain air flow through the soil and to and from the underlying water treatment system components. When footers are used and located outside of the water treatment system components, the imposed soil loads may be higher as soil compaction in areas not above the water treatment system may not be needed for proper air flow to and from the infiltration field or other water treatment system component.

  • Patent number: 12129195
Abstract: Relatively greater capillarity material layers and relatively lesser capillarity material layers are provided. These layers can be used to promote capillary wetting in capillary wetting zones to promote prolonged periods of water retention. Carbon sources present in the capillary wetting zones may exhibit prolonged use provided by limited drying and wetting cycles experienced in the capillary wetting zones. Carbon sources positioned between saturated layers may exhibit prolonged use provided by anoxic conditions created by upper and lower water seals of the saturated layers. Capillarity layers can be employed in infiltration systems handling water, such as residential wastewater.

  • Publication number: 20220212951
Abstract: Infiltration system management and operation is provided using leading indicators. These leading indicators may be sensed at various locations and compared to a target value or range or other criteria when making adjustments to blower, vacuum, pump, or valve operation of an infiltration system. Other operational components or parameters may also be adjusted when considering one or more leading indicator. For instance, sacrificial carbon sources may also be added or replaced based on the status of a leading indicator and its comparison to a target value or range.
