Patent number: 12292941Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on a computer storage medium, that identify and issue search queries expected to be issued in the future. A set of search queries that have been issued by multiple user devices can be obtained. For each query instance, contextual data can be obtained. A first query and its contextual data can be input to a model that outputs the query's likelihood of being issued in the future. The model can be trained using contextual data for training queries and a corresponding labels for the training queries. The learning model outputs the first query's likelihood of being issued in future, and this query is stored as a repeatable query if the likelihood satisfying a repeatability threshold. Subsequently, a stored repeatable query is issued upon a selection of a user selectable interface component and the search engine provides search results for the query.Type: GrantFiled: November 22, 2023Date of Patent: May 6, 2025Assignee: GOOGLE LLCInventors: Yew Jin Lim, David Adam Faden, Mario Tanev, Lauren Ashley Koepnick, Sagar Gandhi, William Ming Zhang

Patent number: 12265286Abstract: An electro-absorption modulator (EAM) is configured to include an on-chip AC ground plane that is used to terminate the high frequency RF input signal within the chip itself. This on-chip ground termination of the modulation input signal improves the frequency response of the EAM, which is an important feature when the EAM needs to support data rates in excess of 50 Gbd. By virtue of using an on-chip ground for the very high frequency signal content, it is possible to use less expensive off-chip components to address the lower frequency range of the data signal (i.e., for frequencies less than about 1 GHz).Type: GrantFiled: February 6, 2024Date of Patent: April 1, 2025Assignee: II-VI Delaware, Inc.Inventors: Andrei Kaikkonen, David Adams, Robert Lewen, Nicolae Chitica

Patent number: 12265528Abstract: Techniques for handling natural language query processing are described. In some examples, a sequence-to-sequence model is used to handle a natural language query. Post-processing of a result of the sequence-to-sequence model utilizes fine-grained information from an entity linker. In some examples, the sequence-to-sequence model and aspects of a natural language query pipeline are used to handle a natural language query.Type: GrantFiled: March 21, 2023Date of Patent: April 1, 2025Assignee: Amazon Technologies, Inc.Inventors: Wuwei Lan, Patrick Ng, Zhiguo Wang, Ramesh M. Publication number: 20250080357Abstract: The present invention provides improved systems and methods for 3D geometry evaluation using vertex distance from center and mesh triangle vertex distance hashing. The present invention allows the generation of a unique hash that is immune to scale, position, orientation, and being inverted along any axis. This allows for the ability to store a single unique hash for each reference geometry that is calculated in advance, generate the unique hash for a search geometry, and then search for matching hash values. The actual geometries do not have to be stored, and only one string value, the hash value, is being searched.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 29, 2024Publication date: March 6, 2025Inventor: Marcus David Adams
