The fibers have continuous structural integrity created by using a heated duct that provides for maintaining an elevated filament temperature during filament draw down. The apparatus allows for entanglement and melt bonding of the fluoropolymers perfluoropolymers, and high temperature engineering resin filaments.

The ad platform service may have a media registration module configured to receive input data including a video ad policy and associated metadata and digital video content from a digital video content client. The ad platform service may further include a registration database configured to store input data received from the media registration module. The ad platform service may further include a manifest service and an associated manifest generation engine, wherein the manifest service may be configured to receive an ad manifest request from a video client. In response, the manifest generation engine may be configured to generate a manifest instance based on input data received at the manifest service, the manifest service being configured to send the manifest instance to the video client.

A request to download a radio configuration (R-CFG) file is sent from the SDR device to the server. A determination is made that the R-CFG file is configured to control a plurality of radio frequency parameters for the SDR device solely within levels permitted by a regulatory agency. The R-CFG is then downloaded to the SDR device.

Abstract: A method of authentication of a verifying device by a confirming device includes the confirming device receiving and storing a shared secret derived from at least a password of a user and sending a challenge. The method further includes the confirming device receiving a response to the challenge using the shared secret; determining if the response to the challenge is correct and if the response to the challenge is correct, authenticating the verifying device.

Abstract: This invention provides a system and method of integrating video games into live sporting events, or the converse, in an interactive way. In a preferred embodiment of the invention, a viewer watching a broadcast sporting event can elect to become a “phantom participant” in an event. At one or more designated points in the event (e.g., a golf tournament), the viewer's set-top box will switch from feeding the broadcast event to the viewer's television screen to feeding a stream from a video game unit to the same television screen. The video game unit is configured to receive information from the broadcast feed that includes information such as, but not limited to, the event location, the hole being played (in the golf example), the participants, and statistics related to the performance of the participants. This information may be used by the video game unit to present the viewer with the opportunity to “virtually” compete with the participants in the broadcast event.

Abstract: A method for monitoring and control of local or remote premises using a popular Skype™ peer-to-peer communication service is defined. The invented methodology provides for mobile surveillance and control using information infrastructure provided by Skype™ communicator. A combination of hardware and software methodologies utilizes voice, video and text message Skype™ communication channels to relate various sensory data and controls signals. Abstract: A method for joining a network resource as a joining node to a peer-to-peer network includes establishing a node ID for the joining node to be joined to the peer-to-peer network, routing the join message to an assignment node that manages resources with resource IDs closest to the node ID of the joining node, determining whether or not the node ID established is identical to respective ones of the node IDs on the peer-to-peer network, and joining the joining node to the peer-to-peer network, when the node ID of the joining node is not identical to any one of the node IDs on the peer-to-peer network.

Abstract: A method for managing communications between or among nodes of a P2P network includes establishing a node ID, an IP address and a node type for each respective node to be joined or linked to the P2P network, the node type including at least a fixed node type or a mobile node type and identifying a type of the resource associated with a corresponding node. Fixed nodes are joined to form the P2P network. One of the joined nodes is selected for linking with a mobile type node based on a correspondence between the node IDs of the selected fixed node and the mobile node to be linked. The mobile node is linked to the selected node such that messages destined for the mobile node are routed via the selected node without updating any other node other than the selected node with the IP address of the mobile node.

Abstract: Methods and apparatus for handing off an end-point associated with a first device to a second device within a locally accessible network operating in an Internet protocol (IP) environment that supports multiple addresses for each device are provided. The first device is in a currently established session with a third device within the IP environment. End-point information associated with the end-point of the first device is locally transferred to the second device. A further end-point, compatible with the currently established session, is configured by the second device using the transferred end-point information. The second device broadcasts an announcement to the locally accessible network, including the router, that the second device is associated with the further end-point.
