A cavity is defined between the upper and lower arms, and three openings to the cavity are provided. One of the openings is located between the first and second rear masses. Another opening is located between the first rear mass and the face member, and a further opening is located between the second rear mass and the face member.

In one embodiment, a golf club head is provided comprising a golf club head housing including a hollow portion having a cavity. A material can be inserted into the cavity to dampen a frequency response of walls of the hollow portion. Abstract: A golf club head having improved properties such as structural rigidity and weight distribution comprises a core formed of a first material such as metallic or ceramic foam. The golf club head may be fabricated by intercalating a second material into the foam core to provide a composite core. The composite core is formed into at least a portion of a club head body. Optionally, a coating is applied to the composite core and, thereafter, the second material is pyrolized and removed.

Abstract: A golf putter head includes a face arranged for impacting a golf ball. The face has a heel end, a toe end, and a middle section disposed between the heel and toe ends. A rear mass is located substantially rearwardly of the face, and a pair of arms extend rearwardly from the face toward the rear mass. Portions of the heel and toe ends of the face, the arms and the rear mass are included in a bottom component. Other portions of the heel and toe ends of the face and the middle section of the face are included in a top component. The bottom component is made of high density material such as metal while the top component is made of low density material such as polymer in order to provide the putter head with a low center of gravity.
