  • Publication number: 20070188120
Abstract: An operating system which utilizes a multi-functional wall station for a motorized barrier includes an operator for controlling movement of a barrier between various positions. The operator may receive signals from a wireless or wired wall station transmitter, a wireless keyless entry device and/or a portable remote transmitter device. The multi-function wall station provides for selective concealment of certain switches or buttons which are not commonly used in the day-to-day operation of a wall station. For example, the up/down switch may be actuated by a hinged cover which conceals other selected operational buttons and wherein those operational buttons are only accessed upon opening of the hinged cover. The wall station also provides a periodic lighting element so as to easily direct the user to push the hinge cover to initiate up/down movement of the barrier.

  • Publication number: 20060190656
Abstract: A flexible, reconfigurable processing system architecture allows for the implementation of a variety of processing system configurations to be implemented on a single device, which is preferably a PCI bus add-in extension board with an attached daughter card attached and electrically connected thereto through a PCI Mezzanine type connector, and which is plugged into a personal computer PCI expansion slot. The architecture uses the PCI bus, for example, as the local CPU bus for an embedded processor, which not only allows for flexibility in system configuration but also allows PCI devices to be hidden from the host CPU to allow for proper system startup. The architecture further permits an embedded processing CPU to be re-booted when the secondary PCI bus host bus bridge fails to respond without affecting host CPU or other secondary PCI bus peripheral devices.

  • Publication number: 20060089239
Abstract: A stretching bar that can be used for rehabilitation, medical treatment and fitness. The stretching machine is comprised of a stretching bar and, optionally, a base. The stretching bar allows the user to stretch while in a seated or standing position. The stretching bar is preferably constructed in a telescoping fashion with a plurality of nesting tubes which extend from one or both ends of the outer tube. The stretching bar further includes a means for attaching a handle mechanism to the bar. The attachment means is preferably a port which accepts and retains the handle. The handle may also be mounted such that it rotates or may be slidably mounted. The telescoping stretching bar preferably uses a series of telescoping tubes to achieve a satisfactory length when being used in the extended configuration, but which may be collapsed when not in use to enhance portability.

  • Publication number: 20060010765
Abstract: A camouflaged termite-monitoring device is provided. Such a device comprises a housing (100) which defines a cavity (300) and an opening (400). A perforated bait cartridge (475) is disposed within the cavity and contains a bait material (450) adapted to be attractive to termites. A mesh-like member (500) is operably engaged with the housing so as to cover the opening and to retain the bait cartridge in the cavity. The mesh-like member is further adapted to allow termites to pass therethrough into the cavity and the bait cartridge and to infiltrate the housing. An inspection hatch (550) is operably engaged with the housing and is configured to allow visual inspection of the bait cartridge within the cavity from outside the housing. Such a visual inspection is performed without removing the housing from engagement with the upper ground surface. An associated method is also provided.

  • Publication number: 20050196441
Abstract: The present invention provides a manufacturing process for quick dissolving products having active ingredients directed to agrochemical applications, such as plant applications and animal and animal health applications. Electrohydrodynamic (EHD) spraying is used to form a product form preferably comprised of fibers that contains a desired agrochemical compound formulated to quickly disintegrate on contact with a solvent such as water. The dispersed chemical is then provided as a sprayable solution. Because the product form contains little or no liquid, significant size and weight savings are gained, higher active ingredient loadings may be placed in a smaller amount of material, and manufacturing, packaging and transportation costs are thereby reduced without impacting user-friendliness. In addition, the EHD manufacturing method of the present invention also permits combining active ingredients previously not capable of effective use together in a single product.
