  • Publication number: 20150084229
Abstract: An apparatus for forming a conduit having at least one strip-shaped substrate dividing the conduit into channels. The apparatus contains an extrusion die having an exit and defining a flow direction for polymeric material forming the conduit. The extrusion die contains a first point for the introduction into the extrusion die of polymeric material forming a first polymeric layer of the conduit, a second point for the introduction into the extrusion die of polymeric material forming a second polymeric layer of the conduit, and a slot within the extrusion die having a thickness, a width, a first edge, and a second edge. The slot is configured for receipt of a strip-shaped substrate and extends in the flow direction along the extrusion die. The thickness of the slot varies along the width of the slot and the thickness of the slot is greatest at the first edge and second edge of the slot.

  • Publication number: 20150023338
Abstract: A wireless access point includes an antenna, a connection port providing wired communications with a network, one or more processors, and a storage device having software stored therein. When executed by the one or more processors the software causes the wireless access point to respond to a probe from a client device requesting a specific service set identifier according to a wildcard service set identifier response in order to facilitate wireless association of the client device with the wireless access point regardless of the specific service set identifier requested by the client device, and to provide the client device with wireless access to the network. In this way, the client device is enabled to associate with the wireless access point and receive access to the network without a specific service set identifier requested by the client device being preprogrammed into the wireless access point.

  • Publication number: 20140035190
Abstract: An apparatus and method are provided for making a conduit divided into channels by one or more strip-shaped substrates. The channels may be used for cables, such as fiber optic cables, coaxial cables, electrical cables, electrical wiring, and the like. Each divided conduit provides channels that allow e.g., cables to be pulled through without snagging or excessive heat build-up due to friction. In addition, the divided conduits do not allow contact or alternation losses between adjacent cables in other channels of the conduit.

  • Publication number: 20130269734
Abstract: The disclosure relates to a continuous cleaning method for cleaning a moving fabric in a paper machine. The method uses one or more cleaning stages. In one embodiment, one cleaning stage applies steam to heat and soften contaminants on the fabric followed by the application of water, preferably superheated water, to remove the contaminants. Another cleaning stage may apply hot water, steam and/or superheated water via an encapsulated shower and evacuation chamber making it possible to clean the width of the fabric without substantial rewet.

  • Publication number: 20130246633
Abstract: A system, tool, device, method, are provided to allow for two parties to communicate with a third party observing. A communication with a specific entity is offered for sale or for auction via a website or web feed or twitter or other. Once the communication is purchased, an operator effects the connection between the parties. If the operator is human, the operator is allowed opportunity to watch and chat individually with each entity. If the operator is a voice recognition software robot or other automated device, the operator is preprogrammed with certain terms and topics and indicators that are unacceptable and require an alarm for an actual operator or halt a connection altogether, among other options.

  • Patent number: 8484575
Abstract: Navigation between a plurality of property sheets on a display of a mobile electronic device, each of the property sheets having a tab index and a layout defining a plurality of elements. One of the property sheets is a displayed property sheet and one of the elements is a current active element. Navigation includes (i) storing the tab index of the displayed property sheet as a current tab index; (ii) detecting a soft key event; regardless of which of the elements is a current active element, (iii) modifying the current tab index based on a soft key identifier of the soft key event to create an updated tab index; and (iv) displaying another property sheet of the plurality of property sheets on the display, the another property sheet having a tab index equal to the updated tab index.
