  • Patent number: 9453497
Abstract: The method includes: dividing the wind farm into a first group of wind turbines to be operated in a non-curtailed mode and a second group of wind turbines to be operated in a curtailed mode for providing a power reserve for the wind farm; determining an actual power production of the first group of wind turbines; estimating a possible maximum power production of the second group at a given environmental condition; estimating a possible maximum power output of the wind farm using the actual power production of the first group and the possible maximum power production of the second group; estimating the power reserve using the possible maximum power output; and updating a power setpoint for at least one wind turbine of the second group so that an expected power production of the second group of wind turbines substantially matches a difference between the possible maximum power production and the power reserve Furthermore, a wind farm is provided.

  • Patent number: 9383025
Abstract: An assembly for limiting excess flow includes a housing having an internal bore that defines a seat. A cage is positioned within the internal bore and includes an upstream end and a sealing surface at a downstream end. A back plate with at least one magnet is seated within the internal bore upstream of the cage. The cage moves away from the back plate when a predetermined flow condition is exceeded such that the sealing surface engages the seat.

  • Patent number: 9378652
Abstract: The present invention extends to methods, systems, and computer program products for musical learning and interaction. Embodiments include presenting a playable portion of a musical instrument at a user interface. The user interface includes a video layer. The video layer is configured to visually present one or more frames of video. The user interface also includes a virtual musical instrument or a playable portion of the virtual musical instrument. At least the playable portion of the virtual musical instrument is overlaid over a least a portion of the video layer, and is at least partially transparent. As such, the portion of the video layer over which the playable portion of the virtual musical instrument is overlaid shows through the virtual musical instrument.

  • Patent number: 9179810
Abstract: A grab bar is attached to a wall with at least one anchor assembly. The anchor assembly can be removed and repeatedly used as needed. The anchor assembly includes a vertical support beam, a flange arm assembly having a base portion and an arm portion, and a spring. The spring is attached to the vertical support beam and cooperates with the arm portion to hold the flange arm assembly in place during installation. The base portion of the flange arm assembly has a flange that fits against a wall surface of the wall structure, and the arm portion is received within a slot formed within the vertical support beam. The flange prevents the flange arm assembly from falling behind the wall structure.

  • Patent number: 9148005
Abstract: A cover plate assembly is provided with a cover plate with a substrate adapted to be mounted upon a substrate of a subplate mounted to an electrical device for enclosing the electrical device. A rim extends from a periphery of the cover plate substrate. The fastener is engaged with the cover plate to engage the detent in a periphery of the subplate for fastening the cover plate to the subplate. The fastener is a separate component than the cover plate and the subplate. The fastener is concealed beneath the cover plate. In another embodiment, the cover plate is metallic and the fastener is formed integrally with the cover plate. In another embodiment, a first fastener fastens the subplate to the electrical device. A second fastener is engaged with the cover plate and the first fastener for fastening the cover plate to the first fastener.

  • Patent number: 9125531
Abstract: A grab bar is disclosed for use in a bathing area. The grab bar includes a longitudinal bar extending to a leg that includes a base configured to be secured to a wall. The leg includes a hole, and a fastener is receive in the hole and extends through the base to the wall. A seal is supported by the base and surrounds the hole to seal the grab bar relative to the wall. An insert is arranged in the hole for reinforcement and is in an interference relationship to the leg to provide a seal there with. A flexible washer is arranged between the fastener and the insert or leg to seal a head of the washer relative to the leg.
