  • Publication number: 20190150729
Abstract: Disclosed are systems and methods for generating wide-field optical coherence tomography angiography (OCTA) images. In embodiments, multiple OCTA scans of a sample are automatically acquired at overlapping locations. The systems and methods include functionality to adaptively control the scanning procedure such that eye blink and eye motion events are detected in real time and accounted for during 3D scan acquisition. Also disclosed are methods for detecting and correcting motion-related artifacts in OCTA datasets which allow for the longer scan times over larger fields of view required for wide-field imaging. These methods may include division of en face angiogram images into a set of motion-free parallel strips, and application of gross and fine registration methods to align overlapping strips into a motion-corrected composite image. A series of overlapping motion-corrected composite images may be combined into a larger montage to enable wide-field OCTA imaging using multiple OCTA scans.

  • Publication number: 20190151844
Abstract: A method includes conveying a detection solution containing a target amplicon into a detection module of a molecular diagnostic test device. The detection module includes a detection surface including a series of capture probes to which a first portion of the target amplicon is bound when the detection solution is conveyed. A first reagent formulated to produce a visible signal indicating a presence of the target amplicon is then conveyed into the detection module. The first reagent is bound to a second portion of the target amplicon when the first reagent is conveyed. A second reagent is conveyed into the detection module. The second reagent includes a precipitating substrate formulated to catalyze the production of the visible signal by producing an insoluble colored product when the second reagent is in contact with the first reagent. The method includes viewing the visible signal via a transparent portion of the detection module.

  • Publication number: 20190145670
Abstract: A thermodynamic apparatus that includes a displacer within a cylinder is disclosed. The displacer reciprocates within the cylinder by a linear actuator that includes electrical coils, an armature, and a coil spring system. The spring system includes collinear first and second coil springs of opposite sense. First ends of the springs are captured in a first plate; second ends of the springs are captured in a second plate. Without constraint, the springs can compensate to forces by bending, rotating, increasing in diameter, and combinations thereof. In certain applications, such as the heat pump, bending should be minimized. By selecting the points of capture of the hooks at the ends of the springs in the plates, bending force of the first spring counteracts the bending force of the second spring.

  • Publication number: 20190138426
Abstract: A system and method that automatically detects that a regression incident has occurred, and identifies the particular revision(s) of source code that introduced the regression incident is disclosed herein. The system and method execute one or more simulations of each revision in a window of revisions of the source code to compute values for one or more metrics. The metric values are then used to compute regression confidence values as well as a regression confidence interval—to then detect a regression incident and identify the revision that caused the regression incident. The system and method can also identify subsequent revision(s) that sufficiently fix regression incident(s) caused by a revision such that a software developer can be informed of these fixing revisions.

  • Publication number: 20180317851
Abstract: Described herein is an algorithm to remove decorrelation noise due to bulk motion in optical coherence tomography angiography (OCTA). OCTA B-frames are divided into segments within which the bulk motion velocity could be assumed constant. This velocity is recovered using linear regression of decorrelation versus the logarithm of reflectance in axial lines (A-lines) identified as bulk tissue by percentile analysis. The fitting parameters are used to calculate a reflectance-adjusted threshold for bulk motion decorrelation. Below this threshold, voxels are identified as non-flow tissue, and their flow values are set to zeros. Above this threshold, the voxels are identified as flow voxels and bulk motion velocity is subtracted from each using a nonlinear decorrelation-velocity relationship.
