  • Publication number: 20220248803
Abstract: Methods and systems are provided for forming a molded foam article. An example method may include molding a plurality of separate pieces of closed-cell foam by exposure to a temperature cycle within a sealed mold to soften the plurality of pieces sufficiently for physical bonding; and forming a molded foam article with the pieces bonded together without an adhesive, wherein, during the temperature cycle, the mold is unsealed at least once to release gases and/or pressure. In another example, a method includes exposing a filled, sealed mold filled with a plurality of pieces of foamed material to a heating cycle; at a threshold temperature, unsealing the filled, sealed mold until a pressure reduces to within a threshold of atmospheric pressure; and, following the unsealing, cooling the filled mold prior to removing a molded foam article.

  • Patent number: 11350499
Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed for controlled illumination of LEDs. An example system comprises: a plurality of LEDs; an LED controller; a current buffer adapted to receive an input bias level signal from the LED controller, wherein a set of LEDs to be controlled together are connected in parallel with each other in a circuit with the current buffer; and at least one current limiting resistor connected in the circuit with the plurality of LEDs and the current buffer. The systems and methods are adapted to control the illumination of the LEDs by applying a constant voltage to the circuit based upon the input bias level signal, thereby controlling the illumination of the light-emitting diodes without the use of pulse width modulation. Crosstalk interference with RFID components due to pulse width modulation is thereby avoided.

  • Patent number: 11070199
Abstract: In certain embodiments, a system for detecting a peak laser pulse includes a laser, a photodiode configured to detect pulses emitted by the laser, and circuitry for detecting a peak pulse timing of the laser. The circuitry is configured to receive a periodic series of voltage signals based on laser pulses detected by the photodiode, stretch the voltage signals, and obtain sampled voltages from the stretched voltage signals using periodic control signals. The circuitry is further configured to shift the timing of the periodic control signals, compare the sampled voltages for respective timings of the control signals, and select an optimal control signal timing based on the comparison.

  • Publication number: 20210025039
Abstract: The invention relates to an aluminum complex alloy cylinder liner preparation process. The raw materials can be vacuum dried and put into a high-speed rolling ball mill for 20-80 hours, before being ground and sieved at 200 mesh. The sieved material can then be mixed with purified water in a stirring mill and stir for 1-4 hours, while a 0.5-2 wt % dispersant and binder are added, to produce a solid content that is a stable slurry of 60-70 wt %. The stable slurry can be dried and granulated into an average particle size of 100-200 mesh. The granulated powder can then be cold isostatic pressed in a mold to form a tube-shaped alloy blank, wherein the molding pressure is 130-250 MPa, and the holding time is 1-10 minutes, high temperature vacuum sintering of the alloy blank, sintering temperature 1500-1600 degrees, heat preservation 3-6 hours, and vacuum degree controlled at ?0.098 MPa.

  • Patent number: 9507470
Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention can be configured to recognize and/or track certain types of touch input detected by a touch sensor, such as stylus input, during the performance of standard “full” touch scans in which each drive line of the touch sensor is generally scanned. Upon detection of these input types, “partial” touch scan operations can advantageously be performed which can dynamically reduce the number of lines scanned in a power-saving manner. These partial scans can be configured to intelligently initially scan the area where these input types were last detected so that there is minimal need to return to a previous “full” scan mode. If these specified touch inputs types are not detected during a “partial” scan mode, the touch sensor can be restored to a “full” scan mode until a subsequent detection of the touch input is determined, in which the touch sensor can be returned to a “partial” scan mode. Each time a partial scan is used, power is saved.
