  • Patent number: 12636099
Abstract: A robotic surgery system includes an orienting platform, a manipulator, and a set-up linkage. The manipulator includes an instrument holder, a pitch linkage, and a yaw linkage. The instrument holder is operable to translate the surgical instrument along an insertion axis to insert the surgical instrument through a remote center of manipulation (RC). The pitch linkage is operable to rotate the instrument holder around a pitch axis that intersects the RC. The yaw linkage is operable to rotate the pitch linkage around a yaw axis. The set-up linkage is connected between the yaw linkage and the orienting platform. The set-up linkage is operable to reposition the manipulator relative to the orienting platform with a motion that maintains the RC in a fixed position relative to the orienting platform.

  • Patent number: 12607093
Abstract: An apparatus comprising a mandrel (51, 251, 351) having a main longitudinal direction and defining a throughbore in that direction and a packer element (52, 352) mounted thereon. A seal bore extension (122) is attached, directly or indirectly, to the mandrel, and defines a bore (122b) in the main longitudinal direction. A floating seal (60) is provided between the bore of the seal bore extension and an internal moveable tube/stinger (120). A bypass channel (54, 254) extends across the packer element between an upper bypass port (50U, 250U) and a lower bypass port (50L, 250L), generally in said longitudinal direction. A bypass valve (55, 255) controls said upper or lower bypass port. The valve may move more than once and may be a multi-cycle valve. An electronic communication device (56a, 256) comprising a wireless receiver is configured to receive wireless signals such as EM or acoustic, to control the bypass valve. In this way the safety of well testing can be improved.

  • Patent number: 12440687
Abstract: Nonwoven resorbable pouches that at least partially enclose implantable medical devices and improved methods for producing the implantable medical device pouches are described. The nonwoven pouches may comprise one or more drugs. Implantable medical devices that are placed in the pouches prior to implantation are prevented from migrating from the site of implantation by tissue ingrowth into the pouch. Antibiotics may be incorporated into the pouches to prevent post-operative infections. The pouches may be formed in fewer steps than conventional pouches, and without polymer coatings. Nonwoven pouches can be formed in one step by dry spinning instead of using multiple processing steps. In embodiments, the nonwoven pouches are smoother on the inside than the outside to tightly fit the implantable medical devices internally while encouraging external tissue ingrowth.
