  • Publication number: 20230153793
Abstract: Provided are a re-using e-commerce payment instruments for in-store purchasing systems and methods. A customer enters a check out and a transaction at the point of sale is started. The system receives a pairing request at a wallet processor from a customer mobile device operating a mobile application. This pairing request is created and sent in response to scanning of a code having a transaction identification. The system associates a customer payment profile with the transaction identification and sends associated information to the point of sale. The point of sale sends an amount of sale to authorize to the wallet processor after completing scanning of items. The system creates an authorization for payment and sending the authorization for payment to an authorizer. The transaction may then be completed by processing payment.

  • Publication number: 20230137510
Abstract: This disclosure enables displaying of an intuitive and engaging enquiry on a touchscreen of a medical device (e.g., breathing apparatus, breathing assistance apparatus) that a patient is already using (e.g., in-home medical device). Since the patient is already accustomed to using the medical device for medical treatment control, the patient, who may be unwell, is more likely to access the enquiry and complete the enquiry. Further, making the enquiry intuitive and engaging encourages the patient to regularly interact with the enquiry, while ensuring that the enquiry is not overly tedious to complete. Responding to the enquiry can be made mandatory by refraining from activating or preventing activation of a component of the apparatus until a predetermined set of responses has been received.

  • Patent number: 11623857
Abstract: Vehicle fuel fill control systems may anticipate vehicle refueling events in order to control the timing of fuel tank depressurization sequences. In a first embodiment, a global positioning system (GPS) is utilized to anticipate the vehicle refueling event prior to initializing the depressurization sequence. In another embodiment, a camera system is utilized to anticipate the refueling event prior to initializing the depressurization sequence. In yet another embodiment, both the GPS and the camera system may be utilized to anticipate the refueling event. By anticipating refueling events, customer wait time for gaining refueling access may be reduced.

  • Publication number: 20230107383
Abstract: A robotic surgery system includes an orienting platform, a manipulator, and a set-up linkage. The manipulator includes an instrument holder, a pitch linkage, and a yaw linkage. The instrument holder is operable to translate the surgical instrument along an insertion axis to insert the surgical instrument through a remote center of manipulation (RC). The pitch linkage is operable to rotate the instrument holder around a pitch axis that intersects the RC. The yaw linkage is operable to rotate the pitch linkage around a yaw axis. The set-up linkage is connected between the yaw linkage and the orienting platform. The set-up linkage is operable to reposition the manipulator relative to the orienting platform with a motion that maintains the RC in a fixed position relative to the orienting platform.

  • Patent number: 11612754
Abstract: Nonwoven resorbable pouches that at least partially enclose implantable medical devices and improved methods for producing the implantable medical device pouches are described. The nonwoven pouches may comprise one or more drugs. Implantable medical devices that are placed in the pouches prior to implantation are prevented from migrating from the site of implantation by tissue ingrowth into the pouch. Antibiotics may be incorporated into the pouches to prevent post-operative infections. The pouches may be formed in fewer steps than conventional pouches, and without polymer coatings. Nonwoven pouches can be formed in one step by dry spinning instead of using multiple processing steps. In embodiments, the nonwoven pouches are smoother on the inside than the outside to tightly fit the implantable medical devices internally while encouraging external tissue ingrowth.

  • Patent number: 11592830
Abstract: A trajectory for a vehicle can be generated using a lateral offset bias. The vehicle, such as an autonomous vehicle (AV), may be directed to follow reference trajectory for through an environment. The AV may determine a segment associated with the reference trajectory based on curvatures of the reference trajectory, determine a lateral offset bias associated with the segment based at least in part on, for example, one or more of a speed or acceleration of the vehicle, and determine a candidate trajectory for the autonomous vehicle based at least in part on the lateral offset bias. The candidate trajectory may then be used to control the autonomous vehicle.

  • Publication number: 20230040113
Abstract: A position fix identifying a geographic location of a receiver is received. The position fix was generated using signals received at the receiver from respective high-altitude signal sources (such as satellites). Imagery of a geographic area that includes the geographic location is also received. The imagery is automatically processed to determine whether one or more of the high-altitude signal sources were occluded from the geographic location when the position fix was generated. In response to determining that one or more of the high-altitude signal sources were occluded from the geographic location when the position fix was generated, the position fix is identified as being potentially erroneous.
