  • Patent number: 11500977
Abstract: Methods and apparatuses are described for user authentication in a three-dimensional (3D) alternative reality software application. A computing device coupled to an alternative reality viewing device generates a 3D virtual environment for display in the alternative reality viewing device, the 3D virtual environment comprising a plurality of 3D objects. The computing device identifies a subset of the plurality of 3D objects selected by the user of the alternative reality viewing device. The computing device captures a first set of actions of the user with respect to the subset of 3D objects, including recording a sequence of the first set of actions. The computing device generates a multidimensional authentication credential for the user based upon the first set of actions and stores the multidimensional authentication credential in a database.

  • Publication number: 20220358479
Abstract: A mobile electronic device detects a first virtual Bluetooth low energy (vBLE) signal from a first vBLE transceiver associated with a first merchant transaction device and a second vBLE signal from a second vBLE transceiver associated with a second merchant transaction device. An overlap region is determined including a first region corresponding to the first vBLE signal and a second region corresponding to the second vBLE signal. A checkout area is selected corresponding to the first region in response to receiving, from the first merchant transaction device, an indication of an external device receiving the second vBLE signal but not receiving the first vBLE signal. The mobile electronic device is then paired to the first merchant transaction device and a payment transaction is initiated with the first merchant transaction device.

  • Publication number: 20220339249
Abstract: The disclosure provides a method for treating a subject afflicted with a cancer comprising administering to the subject a therapeutically effective amount of an anti-PD-1 antagonist, e.g., an anti-PD-1 or anti-PD-L1 antibody, in combination with an indoleamine 2,3-dioxygenase inhibitor, wherein the subject is identified as exhibiting a combined biomarker comprising (a) a high IFN? inflammatory signature score and (b) a low tryptophan 2,3-dioxygenase 2 (TDO2) gene expression score. The high IFN? inflammatory signature score is determined by measuring the expression of a panel of IFN? related inflammatory genes in a cancer sample obtained from the subject, wherein the gene panel comprises, e.g., IFN?, CXCL10, CXCL9, HLA-DRA, IDO1, and STAT1. In some aspects, the gene panel further comprises CCR5, CXCL11, GZMA, and PRF1. In some aspects, the gene panel comprises CXCR6, TIGIT, PD-L1, PD-L2, LAG3, NKG7, PSMB10, CMKLR1, CD8A, IDO1, CCL5, CXCL9, HLA.DQA1, CD276, HLA.DRB1, STAT1, HLA.E, and TDO2.

  • Patent number: 11458965
Abstract: Systems and methods are described for performing one or more validity checks on potential trajectories for a device, such as an autonomous vehicle, to navigate. In some examples, a potential trajectory may be validated based on whether it is consistent with a current trajectory the vehicle is navigating such that the potential and current trajectories are not too different, whether the vehicle can feasibly or kinematically navigate to the potential trajectory from a current state, whether the potential trajectory was punctual or received within a time period of a prior trajectory, and/or whether the potential trajectory passes a staleness check, such that it was created within a certain time period. In some examples, determining whether a potential trajectory is feasibly may include updating a set of feasibility limits based on one or more operational characteristics of statuses of subsystems of the vehicle.

  • Patent number: 11453387
Abstract: A surface characterization system includes an active suspension a system with a wheel controller to control a first and second wheel of a vehicle where the active suspension causes a difference in loading between the first and second wheel. The wheel controller may cause the first wheel to slow and receive a signal indicative of a change of state of the vehicle. The wheel controller may cause the second wheel to oppose the change of state caused by the first wheel. The surface characterization system may estimate tire-surface parameterization data associated with the first tire and a surface upon which the vehicle is located.

  • Patent number: 11435481
Abstract: A device for determining position information includes a detector that is configured to detect a position of the device and a processor that is configured to determine the position information based on a primary position indication from the detector and a secondary position indication from a second detector that is distinct from the detector. The processor determines the position information by aligning the primary position indication with the secondary position indication based on identifying a pattern of the primary position indication that corresponds with a pattern of the secondary position indication.

  • Publication number: 20220244056
Abstract: The present disclosure is directed to methods and systems for generating a geodetic datum. The geodetic datum can establish a coordinate system and/or a set of reference points that describe the respective locations of a portion or all of Earth and/or objects located thereon. In general, a computing system can generate the geodetic datum using various sensor data from one or more sources including: satellite imagery, aerial imagery, aerial light detection and ranging data (LIDAR), ground-level imagery, ground-level LIDAR, and/or other forms of sensor data. This data can be used as a reference dataset that can be combined with additional sensor data (e.g., a second dataset) to determine correspondences between overlapping areas represented in the datasets. Continuing this process for regions that collectively cover the Earth can be used to create a geodetic datum of the entire Earth, without using a mathematic abstraction of the Earth surface.
