David Morse has filed for patents to protect the following inventions. This listing includes patent applications that are pending as well as patents that have already been granted by the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).

  • Publication number: 20060122050
Abstract: The invention is directed to a birefringent glass having a R2O—Al2O3—B2O3—SiO2 base composition, where R2O represents alkali metal oxides, and a precipitated silver halide phase with a volume fraction of at least 0.001. The birefringent glass composition of the invention can be used to produce monolithic zero-order wave plates having a thickness less than 2 mm. These wave plates can be used to introduce a phase shift between polarized components of light transmitted through the glass.

  • Publication number: 20060059136
Abstract: A toolbar for WHOIS searching and interacting with a domain name registrar. The toolbar may include buttons, form fields and drop down menus, and performs WHOIS searches, WHOIS wildcard searches, provides domain registration services. Queries include WHOIS domain searches by domain, by IP address, and by Network Information Center (NIC) Handle searches. Domain registrations can be created, transferred and renewed.

  • Publication number: 20050101291
Abstract: A method for providing a wireless telephone service includes providing a wireless handset having an associated telephone number, and a dedicated programmable wireless switch coupled to a public switched telephone network and a billing server. The handset communicates with the switch to place and receive calls to and from selected telephone numbers on respective ones of a secured list, and optionally, a dependent list. Two billing accounts are associated with the handset, a secured account having a password and the telephone numbers of the secured list associated with it, and a dependent account having a password and the telephone numbers of the dependent list, if any, associated with it. Completed incoming calls to or from the handset in which the telephone number of the caller or the number being called corresponds to a number of the secured and dependent lists are debited to the secured and dependent accounts, respectively, and calls to and from other numbers are billed to the dependent account.

  • Publication number: 20050082780
Abstract: A modular axle assembly includes a first tube assembly and a second tube assembly interconnected by a center section. A number of different modular axle assemblies are constructed by using different center sections. For example, a non-driving axle includes a sleeve interconnecting first and second tube assemblies. A driving front axle includes a differential housing interconnecting the first and second tube assemblies.

  • Publication number: 20050070393
Abstract: A differential assembly includes a case, a pair of pinion gears, a pair of side gears and an electrically operable coupling including an electromagnet. The coupling selectively drivingly interconnects one of the side gears and the case. The electromagnet of the coupling is axially moveable within the case to selectively place the differential assembly in an open or a locked condition.

  • Patent number: 6518314
Abstract: Compositions comprising a pharmaceutically effective amount of a compound that impedes disruption of intact dense microspheres (DMS) by acting on DMS either to prevent disruption, or if disrupted, act on pre-disrupted DMS in such a way that, when the composition is administered to a test animal that has received an injection of DMS, it reduces the mean volume of tissue occupied by disrupted DMS, reduces the ratio of the number of inflammatory cells per DMS, or increases the ratio of the number of macrophages containing disrupted DMS per DMS, are useful for treating cerebral amyloidosis.
