  • Publication number: 20050260250
Abstract: Nutraceutical and dietary supplement formulations for delivering bioavailable thiols to a host, comprising certain organosulfur radicals, such as the allyl mercapto radical, bound to larger molecules such as proteins, resulting in the formation in the host's body of various allium-related compounds such as allicin. The formulations are produced by treating an ingestible material comprising a cysteine-containing protein with a thiol, disulfide, mixed disulfide, thiosufinate or mixed thiosulfinate so as to cause thiol residues to become disulfide bonded to cysteines contained in the protein.

  • Patent number: 5321344
Abstract: A control circuit for a model railroad utilizes a digital counter to control the modes of motor operation. To select a mode of operation a switch is used to repeatedly ground the base of a transistor circuit, causing pulses to be sent to a counter. By using the switch to hold the base of the transistor to ground, the counter sequencing is locked and prevented from further sequencing until the track power is turned off for a defined minimum amount of time. Release of this switched ground places the circuit under track control where short power interrupts cause the counter to sequence to the next count and therefore to sequence the modes of motor operation.

  • Patent number: 4553719
Abstract: An improved carrying assembly is provided for using with, and controlled from, a helicopter to seize and lift immobilized vehicles from freeways and other limited access highways. The carrying assembly may be composed of an integrated and framework having four selectively adjustable vertical leg members, each horizontally positionable one to another, for seizing and supporting the vehicle at appropriate points on its chassis whereby the carrying assembly can engage vehicles of many different sizes and configurations. Control and actuation of each of the different segments of the framework is preferably achieved from within the helicopter, whereby the vehicle targeted from removal can be directly approached from overhead, and whereby the vehicle can be securely seized and lifted without assistance from personnel on the ground.
