    Abstract: A vaporizer includes a reservoir (or cartridge) to hold a precursor composition. The reservoir has a passageway that is configured to not allow the free flow of the precursor composition out of the reservoir at ambient temperatures. An infrared radiation source, when activated, heats the precursor composition reducing its viscosity. An entrainment passageway is in communication with an exterior end of the passageway such that when an air flow is induced to pass through the entrainment passageway, the air flow draws the heated precursor composition from the passageway entrains it in the air flow. The entrained precursor may be vaporized and/or further vaporized by heat from the infrared radiation source before being inhaled by the user.

    Abstract: Polymer composite photonic crystal materials are disclosed as coatings with topcoats having high reflection (>30%) in a specific range of the electromagnetic spectrum, such as ultraviolet (<400 nm), visible (Vis, 400 nm-700 nm), or near-infrared radiation range (NIR, 700-2000 nm), and optionally a relatively low reflection (<20% reflection) in a second, different range of the electromagnetic spectrum. Surprisingly, it was found that through a multi-layer coating approach, the optical properties of polymer composite photonic crystal films can be selectively modified from a variety of different coating methods, including spray deposition.

    Abstract: Technology related to broadcast packet direct memory access (DMA) operations is disclosed. When a network interface controller (NIC) connected to a host computer receives a broadcast packet, it can transmit a request to an agent process running on the host computer for a plurality of destination buffers. In some embodiments, the request to the agent comprises all or part of the packet, or metadata about the packet. In such embodiments, the agent can use the contents of the request to identify services that should receive the packet. Alternatively, the NIC can identify the destination services and can transmit identifiers for the destination services to the agent. The agent can transmit requests for memory buffers to the services and can receive memory location identifiers in response. The agent can transmit the identifiers to the NIC, which can perform multiple DMA operations to write the broadcast packet to the identified memory locations.
