Publication number: 20250143372Abstract: A vaporizer includes a reservoir (or cartridge) to hold a precursor composition. The reservoir has a passageway that is configured to not allow the free flow of the precursor composition out of the reservoir at ambient temperatures. An infrared radiation source, when activated, heats the precursor composition reducing its viscosity. An entrainment passageway is in communication with an exterior end of the passageway such that when an air flow is induced to pass through the entrainment passageway, the air flow draws the heated precursor composition from the passageway entrains it in the air flow. The entrained precursor may be vaporized and/or further vaporized by heat from the infrared radiation source before being inhaled by the user.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 5, 2023Publication date: May 8, 2025Inventors: Noah Mark MINSKOFF, John William RUHSAM, David Ryan CROWE, Mark S. Patent number: 12271437Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for improving web-based document retrieval and object manipulation. In an implementation, objects within web documents (e.g., a web page) are manipulated when the objects are visible through a viewport of a user's web browser. According to a method, an object selected from a web document is manipulated when that selected object is displayed within the viewport of the user's browser. The manipulation may include downloading content associated with the stored object and additionally, or alternatively, executing a script associated with the stored object. Additionally, or independently, methods may be provided for blocking the download of an object in a retrieved web document until that object is displayed or visible in the user's browser viewport.Type: GrantFiled: January 3, 2023Date of Patent: April 8, 2025Assignee: Yahoo Assets LLCInventor: David Ryan Artz

Patent number: 12269961Abstract: Polymer composite photonic crystal materials are disclosed as coatings with topcoats having high reflection (>30%) in a specific range of the electromagnetic spectrum, such as ultraviolet (<400 nm), visible (Vis, 400 nm-700 nm), or near-infrared radiation range (NIR, 700-2000 nm), and optionally a relatively low reflection (<20% reflection) in a second, different range of the electromagnetic spectrum. Surprisingly, it was found that through a multi-layer coating approach, the optical properties of polymer composite photonic crystal films can be selectively modified from a variety of different coating methods, including spray deposition.Type: GrantFiled: July 30, 2021Date of Patent: April 8, 2025Assignee: Colorado State University Research FoundationInventors: Ryan Michael Pearson, Matthew David Ryan, Garret Miyake

Patent number: 12229068Abstract: Technology related to broadcast packet direct memory access (DMA) operations is disclosed. When a network interface controller (NIC) connected to a host computer receives a broadcast packet, it can transmit a request to an agent process running on the host computer for a plurality of destination buffers. In some embodiments, the request to the agent comprises all or part of the packet, or metadata about the packet. In such embodiments, the agent can use the contents of the request to identify services that should receive the packet. Alternatively, the NIC can identify the destination services and can transmit identifiers for the destination services to the agent. The agent can transmit requests for memory buffers to the services and can receive memory location identifiers in response. The agent can transmit the identifiers to the NIC, which can perform multiple DMA operations to write the broadcast packet to the identified memory locations.Type: GrantFiled: March 16, 2022Date of Patent: February 18, 2025Assignee: FS, Inc.Inventors: Hao Cai, Timothy S. Publication number: 20250035293Abstract: This disclosure provides a portable lamp worn on the head and method of construction for the portable lamp. The construction method forms a composite structure that improves the comfort, reduces the volume, and better distributes the weight of the components of the lamp. The method of construction allows for a flexible material or set of flexible materials to be used to encapsulate the rigid parts of the headlamp. The flexible and rigid materials can be joined together in a heat press process that results in a single composite structure that has both attributes of the rigid material(s) and the flexible material(s) in different areas of the lamp. The battery can be located at the back or otherwise remote from the light to improve weight distribution and comfort for the user.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 1, 2024Publication date: January 30, 2025Inventors: Anton Olof Ljunggren, Andrew Laska, Jonathan N.
