  • Publication number: 20230143802
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for improving web-based document retrieval and object manipulation. In an implementation, objects within web documents (e.g., a web page) are manipulated when the objects are visible through a viewport of a user's web browser. According to a method, an object selected from a web document is manipulated when that selected object is displayed within the viewport of the user's browser. The manipulation may include downloading content associated with the stored object and additionally, or alternatively, executing a script associated with the stored object. Additionally, or independently, methods may be provided for blocking the download of an object in a retrieved web document until that object is displayed or visible in the user's browser viewport.

  • Publication number: 20230135704
Abstract: In non-limiting examples of the present disclosure, systems, methods and devices for enabling real-time gestures on shared canvases are presented. A shared object service may be associated with a plurality of shared objects. A plurality of user accounts and/or client devices may be granted access to a shared object. Each client device that accesses the shared object may store a distributed data structure locally that corresponds to the shared object. When client devices perform operations associated with the shared object the operations are logged by the shared object service and timestamped. Those operations are then reported to the client devices, where cursor movements can be rendered in real time. If cursor movements and/or user input device operations associated with a cursor meet conditions for a gesture operation the cursor may be transformed to a gesture/animation and rendered on canvases of each connected client device.

  • Publication number: 20230112335
Abstract: This disclosure provides a portable lamp worn on the head and method of construction for the portable lamp. The construction method forms a composite structure that improves the comfort, reduces the volume, and better distributes the weight of the components of the lamp. The method of construction allows for a flexible material or set of flexible materials to be used to encapsulate the rigid parts of the headlamp. The flexible and rigid materials can be joined together in a heat press process that results in a single composite structure that has both attributes of the rigid material(s) and the flexible material(s) in different areas of the lamp. The battery can be located at the back or otherwise remote from the light to improve weight distribution and comfort for the user.

  • Publication number: 20230015186
Abstract: A method includes receiving an initial pipeline including a sequence of commands for execution on a computing system, and obtaining, for each command in the sequence of commands, semantic information. The sequence of commands includes a command with incomplete semantic information. The method further includes generating an abstract semantic tree (AST) with the semantic information and a placeholder for the incomplete semantic information, and manipulating the AST to generate a revised AST. The revised AST corresponds to a revised pipeline that reduces an execution time on the computing system. The method further includes executing the revised pipeline.

  • Publication number: 20220365932
Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure provide techniques for using an inverted index in a pipelined search query. A field searchable data store is provided that comprises a plurality of event records, each event record comprising a time-stamped portion of raw machine data. Responsive to the reciept of an incoming search query, the search engine accesses an inverted index, wherein each entry in the inverted index comprises at least one field name, a corresponding at least one field value and a reference value associated with each field name and value pair that identifies a location in the data store where an associated event record is stored. Once the inverted index is accessed, it can be used to identify and search a subset of the plurality of event records, wherein the subset comprises one or more event records with corresponding reference values in the inverted index.

  • Publication number: 20220357166
Abstract: A method, autonomous system controller, and computer program product generate a first route for an autonomous vehicle to transport a first person from a first location to a destination. In response to determining that a second person satisfies trigger criteria comprising: (i) being at a second location that is within a proximity threshold to the first route; (ii) being associated with the first person; and (iii) being associated with the destination, an affordance is caused to be presented via respective user interface devices to at least one of the first and second persons that proposes that the autonomous vehicle transport both the first and second persons to the destination. In response to receiving acceptance, a second route is generated for the autonomous vehicle that comprises picking up the first person at the first location, picking up the second person at the second location, and transporting both persons to the destination.

  • Publication number: 20220341745
Abstract: An autonomous vehicle including a vehicle propulsion system, a braking system, a steering system, and a computing system. The computing system includes a processor and memory that stores computer-executable instructions that cause the processor to select a route for a passenger of the autonomous vehicle for a trip to a destination. The route for the passenger is selected from a plurality of potential routes. The route for the passenger is selected based on a preference of the passenger and aggregate ride quality feedback from passengers of autonomous vehicles in a fleet at locations along the potential routes to the destination. The processor is further configured to control at least one of the vehicle propulsion system, the braking system, or the steering system to move the autonomous vehicle along the route as selected for the trip to the destination.

  • Patent number: 11480959
Abstract: An autonomous vehicle including a vehicle propulsion system, a braking system, a steering system, and a computing system that is in communication with the vehicle propulsion system, the braking system, and the steering system. The computing system includes a processor and memory that stores computer-executable instructions that, when executed by the processor, cause the processor to perform acts including setting as a destination for a trip of the autonomous vehicle. The destination for the trip of the autonomous vehicle being set as a location of a second autonomous vehicle at a specific time. The processor is further configured to select a route to the destination for the trip of the autonomous vehicle. The processor is yet further configured to control at least one of the vehicle propulsion system, the braking system, or the steering system to move the autonomous vehicle along the route as selected for the trip.
