  • Publication number: 20110053139
Abstract: Viruses and other bioagents are of high medical and biodefense concern and their detection at concentrations well below the threshold necessary to cause health hazards continues to be a challenge with respect to sensitivity, specificity, and selectivity. Ideally, assays for accurate and real time detection of viral agents and other bioagents would not necessitate any pre-processing of the analyte, which would make them applicable for example to bodily fluids (blood, sputum) and man-made as well as naturally occurring bodies of water (pools, rivers). We describe herein a robust biosensor that combines the sensitivity of surface acoustic waves (SAW) generated at a frequency of 325 MHz with the specificity provided by antibodies and other ligands for the detection of viral agents.

  • Publication number: 20110029769
Abstract: A method for trusted package digital signature based on secure, platform-bound identity credentials. The selection of a document to be electronically signed by a user via a computing device is made. A hash for the document is determined. The hash is encrypted with a private key of the user to create a digital signature. The document, an identification credential, and the digital signature are sent to a recipient computing device residing on a network. The identification credential comprises a digital file used to cryptographically bind a public key to specific trusted hardware attributes attesting to the identity and integrity of the trusted computing device. The trusted computing device includes a cryptographic processor.

  • Patent number: 7862780
Abstract: The present invention provides an apparatus and method of producing transformed water without contact between the original transformed water and the water to be transformed. This is accomplished by organizing the original transformed water into a geometric contained arrangement such that a central cavity is created that substantially surrounds the water that is to be transformed. The water to be transformed is placed into a confined vessel such as a cylindrical container or a pipe inside the central cavity for about sixty seconds. This water then becomes transformed in the same likeness of the molecular clustering of the original transformed water.

  • Publication number: 20100186287
Abstract: An apparatus and method of enhancing fuel combustion by organizing an amount of transformed water with a high level of stored energy into a geometric arrangement such that a central cavity is created that substantially surrounds a segment of a fuel line leading to a combustion device such as an internal combustion engine. The fuel passes within the space surrounded by the transformed water and becomes imprinted with a molecular clustering as a result of water memory transfer at a lower level of stored energy. This process alter the properties of the fuel allowing it to be utilized with a higher level of efficiency and with lower emissions of pollutants such as hydrocarbons and carbon monoxide.

  • Publication number: 20090275919
Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention provide systems and methods for deploying and/or retrieving a balloon configured to at least partially occlude a vessel, such as the coronary sinus. More particularly, embodiments of the present invention provide a stylet and a balloon catheter configured such that the stylet can be inserted into a lumen in the catheter and used to exert a force against an interior portion of the balloon in order to stretch the balloon and reduce the diameter of the balloon. In one embodiment, the stylet and the balloon both have specialty-configured tips that work together to prevent tearing of the balloon when the stylet is exerting a force against the interior of the balloon's tip.

  • Patent number: 7609381
Abstract: A spectrometer apparatus includes a refractor element, a slit, a detector, a diffraction grating, and a corrector lens. The refractor element includes a rear surface and a front surface. The slit provides an optical path to the rear surface of the refractor element, and is configured to transmit an image incident thereupon along the optical path. The detector is positioned facing the rear surface of the refractor element. The diffraction grating faces the front surface of the refractor element, and is configured to spectrally disperse and reimage the image of the slit toward the front surface of the refractor element. The corrector lens is positioned between the refractor element and the diffraction grating such that the image is provided to the detector corrected for a spherical aberration caused by a separation distance between the detector and the rear surface of the refractor element.

  • Publication number: 20090077044
Abstract: A repository contains multiple versions of an object but only a single version of the object is supplied when a query is made. The single version is automatically selected from among a number of versions, based on a configuration associated with a workspace in which the query originates. The selected version is presented in a version resolved view, without exposing any information related to versioning of the object. A number of configurations are established, each configuration containing no more than one version of each object in the repository. However, only one configuration is associated with each workspace from which a query can originate. A single configuration is commonly associated with the workspaces of all developers. When developers decide that a set of objects in the repository is ready for use in live operation, the set of objects is “deployed” by copying the design time configuration to generate a new configuration.

  • Patent number: 7457817
Abstract: A repository contains multiple versions of an object but only a single version of the object is supplied when a query is made. The single version is automatically selected from among a number of versions that are otherwise returned in response to the query, based on a configuration associated with a workspace in which the query originates. The selected version of the object is then presented in a version resolved view, without exposing any information related to versioning of the object. Specifically, a number of configurations are established, each configuration containing no more than one version of each object in the repository. However, only one configuration is associated with each workspace from which a query can originate. The configuration that is associated with the workspace depends on whether the workspace is to be used for design of the repository or for use of the repository during live operation.

  • Publication number: 20080135506
Abstract: Shelf support apparatus can be moved and stacked with a tined lift such as a forklift. The apparatus has based feet disposed lower than a front base cross member, and support uprights extend upward therefrom to a generally horizontal top structure. The front base cross member has two tine openings with lift tubes for receiving lift tines of a fork lift, and a bottom surface for receiving lift tines of a floor pallet jack. The top structure includes feet-receiving openings corresponding in location to the base feet, such that the apparatus can be stacked. The base feet have targeting slopes both in a front-to-back direction and in a side-to-side direction, to guide the second, upper shelf support apparatus down onto the first, lower shelf support apparatus with the base feet received in a nesting relationship. The targeting slopes in the front-to-back direction acts over a targeting area which is greater than the targeting area in the side-to-side direction.
