  • Publication number: 20170331275
Abstract: A reverse fault current interruptor (RFCI) may be employed in one or more locations in an electrical power system. In one example, an RFCI may be installed in a combiner box of a solar power system. The RFCI may include a reverse current detector and a circuit protector such as a circuit breaker, operable in combination to clear a line-line fault in the combiner box. The RFCI enables a reduction of incident energy levels through detection of a reversal in a fault current characteristic of some DC power systems, where a traditional overcurrent protection device (OCPD) (e.g., fuse, breaker) may not trip in the same period of time.

  • Publication number: 20170300955
Abstract: A decentralized offer management system is described. An appliance may be capable of storing and managing offers related to the appliance without communication with a central server. The appliance may receive and store offer attributes related to offers received from an offer provider computer. When a user utilizes their user device to communicate with the appliance, the appliance may determine offers related to the stored offer attributes that can be provided to the user. In some cases, the offers may be specific to the appliance or specific to the user. The appliance may send an offer to the user device, where the offer may indicate that the user is to perform certain actions to qualify to redeem the offer. The appliance may verify that the user has performed such actions before enabling the offer to be redeemed.

  • Patent number: 9383160
Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure include a bowfishing reel for use with an archery bow. In certain embodiments, a reel includes an outer cover surrounding a spool of fishing line and an internal mechanism. When an arrow is shot, the fishing line is uncoiled from a spool and pulled out from the outer cover as the arrow travels from the bow. After the arrow and fishing line are paid out, the reel can retrieve the line and arrow. The reel includes a pull handle extending through the outer cover to engage the internal mechanism, with the handle and the internal mechanism being biased in a forward line-release position. When the handle is pulled linearly rearward against the biasing force, the internal mechanism is moved from the line-release position to the line-retrieval position. Release of the handle allows the internal mechanism to automatically return to the line-release position.
