  • Patent number: 7906677
Abstract: A process for the production of a compound of Formula I, or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, or a pharmaceutically acceptable prodrug ester thereof, comprising cleaving a lactam of formula II wherein the symbols are as defined, with a base; and precursors therefor and processes for the preparation of the precursors. The compounds of Formula I are pharmaceutically active compounds which are selective inhibitors of Cyclooxygenase II.

  • Publication number: 20100064416
Abstract: The glove can be heated by the user's breath and comprises an outer layer with a through-hole on the back of the hand, a blowing element attached to the outer layer over the through-hole, and an inner lining. A guide pocket is arranged between the outer layer and the inner lining over an area of the back of the hand which extends from the blowing element all the way to the tips of the fingers, the thumb optionally excepted. The blowing element is attached to the upper wall of said pocket. The lower wall of the pocket is perforated, at each finger, by a through-orifice for air in an area at the tip of said finger. The inner lining is air-permeable in at least the area of the through-orifice.

  • Publication number: 20050069063
Abstract: A method and apparatus are provided for broadband cancellation of interference signals. A signal transmitted on one communication path acts as an interference signal to a receiver on a second communication path in the system. In an embodiment, a signal transmitted from an antenna using one wireless standard, or protocol, acts as an interference signal for another antenna, co-located in the same system, using another wireless standard, or protocol, and operating in the same or nearby frequency bands. A time delay is applied to a signal sampled from the interference signal to provide substantially broadband cancellation of the interference signal. The sampled signal may be attenuated to match the amplitude of the interference signal on the second communication path. Coupling of the sampled signal from one communication path to the other communication path can provide an 180° phase shift to the sampled signal.

  • Publication number: 20040201785
Abstract: A CRT support panel for a projection television set is provided that includes a generally vertically extending body, a mounting foot extending from the base of the body and a handle extending from the top of the body. The body preferably has a thin walled open corrugated profile. The corrugated profile enables the cross-section of the panel to be increased to significantly increase it strength to guard against buckling without significantly increasing its weight. The panel, which is preferably plastic injection molded as a unitary part, tends to have sufficient flexibility to guard against shock and vibration damage during transportation.

  • Patent number: 5801281
Abstract: An improved process for preparing 1,1'-?1,4-phenylenebis-(methylene)!-bis-1,4,8,11-tetraazacyclotetradecane comprising the selective functionalization of an acyclic tetraamine, and subsequent dimerization and hydrolyzation/tosylation to obtain a 1,4-phenylenebis-methylene bridged hexatosyl acyclic precursor in a first step, the cyclization of said precursor to obtain a hexatosyl cyclam dimer in a second step, and the detosylation of said cyclam dimer in a third step followed by basification to obtain the desired 1,1'-?1,4-phenylenebis-(methylene)!-bis-1,4,8,11-tetraazacyclotetradecane.
