  • Publication number: 20220134279
Abstract: A desulfurization gas process includes water vapor, CO2 and SOx (x=2 and/or 3). In a treatment unit, the gas contacts a cooled alkaline aqueous solution having a temperature lower than an initial gas temperature, water and a carbonate of an alkali metal, to cool the gas, condense some water vapor and absorb SOx in the carbonate-containing solution, produce an SOx-depleted gas and an acidic aqueous solution including sulfate and/or sulfite ions. The SOx-depleted gas and a portion of the acidic aqueous solution can then be withdrawn from the treatment unit. Carbonate of the alkali metal can be added to remaining acidic aqueous solution to obtain a made-up alkaline aqueous solution. This solution can be cooled and reused as the cooled alkaline aqueous solution. An SOx absorbent solution includes a bleed stream from a CO2-capture process, sodium or potassium carbonate, and an acidic aqueous solution obtained from desulfurization.

  • Publication number: 20220098642
Abstract: Provided herein are methods of quantitative amplicon sequencing, for labeling each strand of targeted genomic loci in a DNA sample with an oligonucleotide barcode sequence by polymerase chain reaction, and amplifying the genomic region(s) for high-throughput sequencing. The methods can be used for the simultaneous detection of copy number variation (CNV) in a set of genes of interest, by quantifying the frequency of extra copies of each gene. In addition, these methods provide for the quantitation of the allele ratio of different genetic identities for targeted genomic loci using multiplexed PCR. In addition, these methods provide for the detection of mutations and quantitation of the variant allele frequency.

  • Patent number: 11210280
Abstract: A system and method of setting and checking a Bloom filter is provided. The system generates a set of hashed values by applying a number of hash functions to an input value; determines each bit address of a bloom filter corresponding to a hashed value of the set of hashed values; maps each determined bit address from the bloom filter into a corresponding byte address of a register, such that each bit address corresponds to one byte address; writes a byte value into the register for the byte address, wherein each bit of the byte value corresponds to a bit address of the bloom filter and writes each bit of the byte value from the register into the bloom filter for each bit address of the byte address.

  • Patent number: 11122257
Abstract: A method, apparatus and system for enhanced welding visualization include splitting incoming light from the welding environment into at least a first optical path and a second optical path having different light levels using at least one beam splitter. Images of the split light having different light levels are captured using a respective imaging sensor. The images from the respective imaging sensors are fused to create a left-eye fused image and a right-eye fused image. The left-eye fused image is displayed on a display at a location of a left eye of a user and the right-eye fused image is displayed on a display at a location of a right eye of the user to provide a parallax-free, high dynamic range, representation of the welding environment.
