  • Publication number: 20210091606
Abstract: A wireless power transmitting system includes a power amplifier comprising a plurality of measurement points and a power amplifier controller integrated circuit (IC). In some embodiments, the power amplifier controller IC performs synchronization of the various components of the power amplifier, conducts impedance and temperature measurements at the measurements points, determines if a foreign object is within the transmission range of the wireless power transmitter, and decides if a shutdown of the power amplifier is needed. In some embodiments, the power amplifier controller IC determines through a transmitter controller IC, the presence of a foreign object within the transmission range and adjusts the power transmission to one or more receivers.

  • Publication number: 20200334207
Abstract: A client machine writes to and reads from a virtual disk on a remote storage platform. Metadata is generated and stored in replicas on different metadata nodes of the storage platform. A modified log-structured merge tree is used to store and compact string-sorted tables of metadata. During file storage and compaction, a consistent file identification scheme is used across all metadata nodes. A fingerprint file is calculated for each SST (metadata) file on disk that includes hash values corresponding to regions of the SST file. To synchronize, the fingerprint files of two SST files are compared, and if any hash values are missing from a fingerprint file then the key-value-timestamp triples corresponding to these missing hash values are sent to the SST file that is missing them. The SST file is compacted with the missing triples to create a new version of the SST file. The synchronization is bi-directional.

  • Publication number: 20200327127
Abstract: A device may identify a query for a database system, wherein the query is a candidate for optimization. The device may determine a first execution plan according to a first hint for executing the query and a second execution plan according to a second hint for executing the query, wherein the first execution plan is associated with a first execution time and the second execution plan is associated with a second execution time. The device may select the first execution plan or the second execution plan as a selected execution plan. The device may generate, based on selecting the selected execution plan, a profile for the query, wherein the profile is based on the selected execution plan. The database system may execute the query according to the profile.

Abstract: A client machine writes to and reads from a virtual disk on a remote storage platform using a storage protocol. The other fingerprint file is then analyzed the same way.

  • Publication number: 20200244111
Abstract: An example method is performed at a near-field charging pad with a processor, a power-transferring element, a signature-signal-receiving circuit, and the processor of the near-field charging pad is in communication with a data source that includes predefined signature signals that each identify one of (i) a wireless power receiver, (ii) an object other than a wireless power receiver, and (iii) a combination of a wireless power receiver and an object other than a wireless power receiver. The method includes: after sending a plurality of test radio frequency (RF) power transmission signals, detecting, using the signature-signal-receiving circuit, respective amounts of reflected power; generating, based on variations in the respective amounts of reflected power, a signature signal; and determining whether (i) an authorized wireless power receiver is present on the near-field charging pad and/or (ii) an object other than a wireless power receiver is present on the near-field charging pad.

  • Publication number: 20200057807
Abstract: A system to electronically generate original content may include a Cognitive Memory Augmented Network (“CAMN”) that ingests data from structured and unstructured sources and organizes it in a neural network. Generic and/or custom decomposition may ensure that the data sources are broken down inside the CAMN to individual elements of reusable data. A Cognitive Gateway Interface (“CGI”) may make data available inside the CAMN accessible to processes such as cognitive search, content extraction, and/or summarization. A feedback mechanism may ingest human thought and convert the feedback to introduce original content into an output. With an enriched CAMN built upon substantial digital content, the system may learn deep semantic meaning and understanding based on content. The system may create and curate new articles, and an assistant system may work as interpreter of content. The system may help with complex research on advanced topics and provide personalized and/or customized reports.

  • Patent number: 10492640
Abstract: The system and method for producing and dispensing beverages ensures consistent delivery of the beverages by maintaining the associated natural flavours of the ingredients therein. Upon receiving a signal from an input panel co-operating with a controller, predetermined quantity of ingredients of beverage like tea leaves/tea powder, sweetener, condiments and hot/boiling water is introduced through a funnel into a brewing chamber. An agitator connected to a motor is activated to stir the ingredients of the beverage. Brewing continues in the brewing chamber for a predetermined time. When the decoction is ready for being dispensed, a conical hatch is released thereby causing the decoction to flow outside the system into a receiving means through an outlet valve that may be optionally passed through a flipping filtering mechanism.

  • Patent number: 10476312
Abstract: An example method includes detecting, via a wireless communication component of a near-field charging pad (pad), that a receiver is within a threshold distance of the pad. In response to the detecting, the method includes: determining whether the receiver has been placed on the pad. In accordance with determining that the receiver has been placed on the pad, the method includes: selectively transmitting, by respective antenna elements included in a plurality of antenna zones of the pad, respective test power transmission signals with a first set of transmission characteristics until a determination is made that a particular power-delivery parameter associated with transmission of a respective test power transmission signal by at least one particular antenna zone satisfies power-delivery criteria.

  • Patent number: 10437902
Abstract: Various embodiments identify candidate phrases users have used to reference a product in previous searches by analyzing query logs of a search engine. Upon identifying a candidate phrase within a volume of unstructured text, the candidate phrase is compared against a corpus of contemporary language. A frequency of each candidate phrase in contemporary language and the same in the query logs are determined and used as an indication to distinguish between genuine product references in the text or their normal use in common language in order to determine whether the volume of unstructured text is suitable, based on the number of references, for a hyperlink to a product page for the product of an electronic marketplace. Furthermore, behavioral data associated with user interaction with various aspects of the hyperlinks can be tracked over time to better identify suitable product references and tailor future hyperlink suggestions.
