  • Patent number: 6053018
Abstract: Described is a security device for the lock on a switchgear-cabinet door, a machine housing or similar equipment, the device consisting of a first element (54) attached e.g. to the door (12) and a second element (44) attached e.g. to the door frame or machine-housing frame (24), the two elements (54, 44) being designed so that one can be inserted in the other and be held in this position under the control of an electrical signal, corresponding, for example, to the presence or absence of an operating signal. The invention calls, in the case of a door or machine-housing panel (12), for e.g. one element (54) to be attached to the handle (26) of a turning-handle lock (14) mounted on the door or housing panel and for the other element (44) to be attached in such a way to the door frame or housing frame (24) that this other element (44) projects out into the vicinity of the lock handle when the door is closed or the housing in place and the lock handle turned into the "locked" position.

  • Patent number: 5887915
Abstract: A rod-type closure for locking switch cabinet doors or like doors or flaps comprises a flat strip rod which is arranged so as to be guided parallel to a door edge, arranged in a bevel space, and having at least one locking part arranged thereon. The closure further comprises a closure element arranged on a door frame for receiving the locking part such that it locks. It further includes an actuating device for longitudinal displacement of the flat strip rod between an opening position and a locking position. The flat strip rod forming the locking part is offset out of its longitudinal plane along at least a part of its longitudinal extension thereby forming an offset portion. The flat strip profile in or adjacent to the offset portion, together with one of its offset or non-offset narrow edges forming a locking surface over which is engaged a hook part of the closure element arranged parallel to the plane of the flat strip rod.

  • Patent number: 5722269
Abstract: A locking device is used for doors of cabinets or cupboards and, more parularly, for doors of modular cupboard systems. In order to create an operationally reliable, inexpensive locking device which is suitable for narrow counterstops and which permits an installation independently of the fixing side, as well as an inexpensive conversion when the fixing side is changed, the locking device is given a bipartite construction with a handle positioned in the vicinity of a door plate and a bolt mechanism operable by a tumbler. The device has a first door plate area receiving the handle and a second door plate area. A locking movement, initiated by the handle, is subject to a deflection, preferably of approximately 90.degree., in the direction of a counterstop and a closed or open position of at least one locking element in a cabinet or cupboard-side receptacle is obtained.

  • Patent number: 5347834
Abstract: The present invention relates to a swivel lever lock which is securable by a cylinder lock device and is mountable in a thin wall, such as a sheet-metal cabinet door. The swivel lever lock includes a base plate having two projections penetrating through the door leaf. One of the projections serves for the connection of a rod drive or for an articulated shaft for a hand lever, which can be swiveled away. The projection can be used simultaneously for fastening one end of the base plate. The other projection has a recess for receiving the cylinder lock device holding the swivel lever in its swiveled-in position and can be used simultaneously for fastening the other end of the base plate. Either the base plate or the swivel lever has a recess for receiving a second cylinder lock which can be actuated independently of the first cylinder lock for securing the swivel lever in its swiveled-in position.

  • Patent number: 5044677
Abstract: A bar guideway for the flat strip bar (18) of a bar closure (14) is described which is intended for installation in the fillet gap of sheet metal cabinet doors, and the flat strip bar (14) does not carry any or only tediously dissemblable locking means such as pins, hooks, roll pins or double roll pins. According to the invention, the bar guideway (20) forms a base angle (60) of resiliently elastic material such as synthetic material, whose one leg (62) has a fastening hole (64) and whose other leg (66) has one projecting rail (72 respectively 74) each. Each rail has a hook-shaped profile, and thereby forms a guide track (76) for the flat strip bar (18) (FIG. 1 and 6).
