Abstract: The present application provides fibers made from recombinant hagfish intermediate filament proteins. Methods of expressing and purifying the proteins, and methods of creating the fibers, are likewise disclosed. The method of purifying protein yields larger quantities of hagfish protein than have been previously achieved, and the fibers have the highest mechanical properties yet recorded for recombinant hagfish protein fibers.

In one embodiment, such a method identifies a selected environment of interest. Within the selected environment, the method identifies one or more applications that are commonly utilized by users within the selected environment and documents the one or more applications. The method detects physical entry of a particular user into the selected environment and, in response to detecting the entry, automatically notifies the particular user of the one or more applications that are commonly utilized within the selected environment. In certain embodiments, the method enables the user to quickly launch the one or more applications and/or provides operational guidance to the user with regard to using the one or more applications. Abstract: The present disclosure provides a parallel bus-based communication system, the system including: electronic devices; a host controller equipped with a selecting chip and a communication chip, and the communication chip controls at least one channelized parallel bus, and the electronic devices are individually connected to the channelized parallel bus. The host controller, upon first power on, allocates addresses to the electronic device sequentially via the selecting chip. In the present disclosure, the communication chip of the communication system employs a parallel bus communication mode, and the selecting chip sequentially allocates addresses to the electronic device. Communication functions can be achieved by using a small number of communication chips. The electronic devices (sensors) are independent of each other and do not affect one another. The existing sensor structures and vehicle harness may be used, which has cost advantages.
