  • Publication number: 20220311513
Abstract: A test and measurement system includes a test and measurement device, a connection to allow the test and measurement device to connect to an optical transceiver, and one or more processors, configured to execute code that causes the one or more processors to: set operating parameters for the optical transceiver to reference operating parameters; acquire a waveform from the optical transceiver; repeatedly execute the code to cause the one or more processors to set operating parameters and acquire a waveform, for each of a predetermined number of sets of reference operating parameters; build one or more tensors from the acquired waveforms; send the one or more tensors to a machine learning system to obtain a set of predicted operating parameters; set the operating parameters for the optical transceiver to the predicted operating parameters; and test the optical transceiver using the predicted operating parameters.

  • Publication number: 20220301420
Abstract: A system and method are disclosed to provide train detection and alerts. Embodiments include monitoring train status data, detecting a presence of a train based on the train status data, capturing current train data and converting the current train data and mapping device location data from one or more mapping devices into train metrics. Embodiments estimate an arrival time of the train at a railroad crossing and a duration of the train at the railroad crossing, check the current train data for errors, apply rules to the current train data to validate the current train data and generate an alert in response to the rules being satisfied. Embodiments display the alert on the one or more mapping devices to notify one or more corresponding users of the one or more mapping devices of the presence of the train.

  • Patent number: 11301537
Abstract: Systems and methods for providing a document are described. In one described method, a document comprising a portion selected by a first member of a social network is hosted for the first member. The portion is dynamically updated with content. An audience criterion for the portion and a type of relationship between the first member and a second member of the social network are identified. If the type of relationship between the first member and the second member satisfies the audience criterion, the second member is provided access to at least the portion.

  • Patent number: 11295219
Abstract: A technique for answering questions includes receiving a question directed to a first subject. A mathematical operation is performed between each of one or more first topic vectors (associated with the first subject) and each of one or more second topic vectors (associated with a second subject) to generate respective strength values. Relevant ones of the respective strength values are summed to provide an overall strength value, which is utilized to determine a semantic distance (SD) between the first subject and the second subject. In response to the SD being within a threshold distance value (TDV), information associated with the first subject and the second subject is utilized to answer the question. In response to the SD not being within the TDV, information associated with the first subject is utilized to answer the question.

  • Patent number: 11249912
Abstract: An apparatus and method are provided for storing bounded pointers. One example apparatus comprises a storage comprising storage elements to store bounded pointers, each bounded pointer comprising a pointer value and associated attributes including at least range information, and processing circuitry to store a bounded pointer in a chosen storage element. The storing process comprises storing in the chosen storage element a pointer value of the bounded pointer, and storing in the storage element the range information of the bounded pointer, such that the range information indicates both a read range of the bounded pointer and a write range of the bounded pointer that differs to the read range. The read range comprises at least one memory address for which reading is allowed when using the bounded pointer, and the write range comprises at least one memory address to which writing is allowed when using the bounded pointer.

  • Patent number: 11185321
Abstract: Suture clip deployment devices for applying suture clips to sutures are described. Some embodiments can include a generally tubular main body and a vacuum port located at the distal end, a hollow inner body longitudinally slidable within the main body and extending from the main body at its distal end, and a suture recess located in the generally tubular main body. At least one suture clip configured to frictionally fit on an outer surface of the inner body is deployed during use. Clip deployment can occur after a vacuum source is applied to the device so as to draw the suture into the device. The suture lines can be retrieved through the suture recess, and the device can be actuated so as to deliver the suture clip off the delivery device and onto the suture, locking the suture in place.
