  • Patent number: 9758665
Abstract: A process for producing an aqueous dispersion of at least two preformed polymers each at least partially modified by grafted addition polymers produced in a solution of the polymers, comprising the steps of i) providing a solution in organic carrier liquid of a first preformed polymer, consisting of diepoxy resin, and at least one other preformed polymer excluding polyesters ii) mixing the solution containing the polymers with ethylenically unsaturated monomers, said monomers comprising an effective amount of copolymerizable dispersing moiety iii) providing an effective amount of a grafting polymerization initiator iv) allowing or causing the monomers to polymerize and graft to at least some of the preformed polymers to form a solution of modified polymers v) optionally adding crosslinking agent to solution iv) vi) dispersing the solution of modified polymers, and optionally crosslinking agent, in aqueous medium to form a stable dispersion of particles.

  • Publication number: 20170236170
Abstract: According to various embodiments, techniques and mechanisms described herein facilitate the editing of computer programming tags associated with a website. A user interface displaying a representation of a website may be presented on a display screen. The representation may include a plurality of webpage identifiers that each identifies a respective webpage associated with the website. The representation may also include a plurality of active tag indicators that are each associated with a respective one of the webpages. Each active tag indicator may identify a respective portion of computer programming code included in the respective webpage with which the active tag indicator is associated. User input indicating an editing action to be performed with respect to one or more of the computer programming code portions may be received, and a message identifying the editing action may be transmitted via a communications interface.

  • Patent number: 9714072
Abstract: Dampers for mounting on a dock to control landing a boat. The dampers may be used individually or in damper systems made up of a plurality of dampers. Each damper has a flexible body with one or more sidewalls defining an inner chambers, and orifices are provided in one of the sidewalls to allow the chamber to be filled with water when the damper is in an at-rest state. When the boat approaches the dock and contacts the damper or the outer set of dampers in a damper assembly/system, the collision or impact force applied by the boat against the outer surfaces of the damper(s) causes the damper body to be compressed, which causes the sidewalls of the chamber to collapse so as to expel water out of the inner chamber via the orifices so as to reduce the speed of the boat at a desired rate of deceleration.

  • Patent number: 9706708
Abstract: A method for conditioning at least one control signal transmitted by a controller is disclosed. The method involves intercepting the control signal and producing at least one output signal for receipt by the positioning system instead of the control signal in response to the control signal. The output signal represents a plurality of active times during which the positioning system is instructed to move the agricultural implement towards the at least one desired position and a plurality of inactive times during which the positioning system is instructed not to move, each active time being followed by a respective one of the plurality of inactive times. Each of the plurality of inactive times is sufficiently long to permit the agricultural implement to settle into a fixed position due to a positioning response time of the positioning system. Other methods, apparatuses, systems, and computer-readable media are also disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20170188655
Abstract: An article of footwear having an adjustable width is disclosed. The article of footwear can include a lower sole and an upper sole. The lower and upper soles can have grooves to allow for expansion and contraction. The article of footwear can also include a width adjustment assembly. The width adjustment assembly can have a lead screw, an adjustment device accessible to a wearer from the outside of the article of footwear, an actuation strap, an anchor plate connected to the actuation strap. Rotation of the adjustment device can cause the lead screw to rotate, which in turn can change the tension in the actuation strap. Changes to the tension in the actuation strap can cause the width of the forefoot portion of an article of footwear to be adjusted.

  • Publication number: 20170172845
Abstract: A cardio-pulmonary compression device includes a motor (11) having a rotating portion, and a ball nut (12) mounted on the rotating portion and configured to rotate with the rotating portion. A ball screw (13) is received in the ball nut such that rotation on the ball nut advances and/or retracts the ball screw in accordance with a direction of the motor. A pad assembly (15) is coupled to an end portion of the ball screw such that longitudinal motion of the ball screw imparts a compression cycle to a patient.

  • Publication number: 20170119375
Abstract: Suture clip deployment devices for applying suture clips to sutures are described. Some embodiments can include a generally tubular main body and a vacuum port located at the distal end, a hollow inner body longitudinally slidable within the main body and extending from the main body at its distal end, and a suture recess located in the generally tubular main body. At least one suture clip configured to frictionally fit on an outer surface of the inner body is deployed during use. Clip deployment can occur after a vacuum source is applied to the device so as to draw the suture into the device. The suture lines can be retrieved through the suture recess, and the device can be actuated so as to deliver the suture clip off the delivery device and onto the suture, locking the suture in place.

  • Patent number: 9619472
Abstract: Provided are a computer program product, system and method for updating class assignments for data sets during a recall operation in a storage environment having a plurality of storage devices. Information on a data set is processed to determine at least one current attribute of the data set. A determination is made as to whether the determined at least one current attribute satisfies a criteria. Indication is made in a catalog to change a class associated with the data set in response to determining that the at least one current attribute satisfies the criteria, wherein the class is used to determine how to manage the data set. The data set is migrated from a first storage to a second storage. A recall operation is initiated to recall the data set from the second storage.

  • Patent number: 9596346
Abstract: Call routing system and method for routing calls based upon an initiator's current location in a wireless communications network. The call routing system includes an interface to receive incoming communications directed to an identifier identifying different geographic locations of destination party. Interactive unit interacts with off-network providers. Call routing process is created to determine, based on the current location of the initiator, which geographic location to direct the communication and gateway mediation process is created to inquire from off-network service the current location of the initiator, to receive location data related to the initiator's current location, and to return the received location data to the call routing process. Interactive unit is configured to terminate communication to geographic location of the destination party based on the initiator's current location. Incoming communication and terminating communication are bridged at interactive unit.
