  • Publication number: 20250115311
Abstract: A diffuser element for the underside of a vehicle comprises in longitudinal vertical section, in sequence from front to rear, a first smoothly and monotonically rising panel, and a second panel, and a gap between the first and second panels, wherein the edge of the second panel adjacent the gap comprises a substantially flat planar section which is offset from and below the plane of the first panel ahead of the gap. This type of gap in the diffuser serves to bleed off the boundary layer from the airflow passing through the diffuser, thus enhancing its effectiveness and improving the downforce that is generated as a result. The gap is preferably located in the front half of the diffuser and can form the entrance to a duct leading to an exit on the rear of the vehicle.

  • Publication number: 20250119938
Abstract: This disclosure provides methods, components, devices and systems for negotiation for coordinated medium access between wireless devices. Some aspects more specifically relate to techniques for negotiation between wireless devices for medium access. In some examples, wireless devices may transmit requests and responses to negotiate for conflicting medium access periods between wireless devices, where the wireless devices may be in different basic service sets (BSSs). For example, wireless devices such as wireless access points (APs) may broadcast a reservation of medium access periods. In some examples, a first wireless device may transmit a request to negotiate medium access periods with a second wireless device, and the second wireless device may transmit a response to the request. For example, the request to negotiate may request that the wireless devices mutually honor or respect (for example, comply with) one or more of the medium access period reservations of each wireless device.

  • Publication number: 20250117944
Abstract: Methods and systems for pre-processing immunocytochemistry images for machine learning are provided. The pre-processing method includes receiving paired positive and negative multi-protein images and segmenting stains of the paired multi-protein images. The method also includes labelling each image pixel corresponding to a cell of the paired multi-protein images and translating image pixel information of the labelled image pixels to tabular form to generate a table of cell coordinates and geometrical characteristics for each of the paired multi-protein images. The method further includes generating two cell-paired tables for each of the paired multi-protein images based on Euclidean distance-based pairing prior to input for the machine learning, where the Euclidean distance-based pairing is based on the cell coordinates in the table of cell coordinates and geometrical characteristics for each of the paired multi-protein images.

  • Publication number: 20250119394
Abstract: A network switch includes multiple data crossbars and multiple header planes for controlling the data crossbars. In an example implementation, a device includes: a plurality of header planes, each of the header planes including an input queue, an output queue, a request crossbar connected to the input queue and the output queue, and a grant crossbar connected to the input queue and the output queue; a receiver; and a header plane selector. The header plane selector is configured to: receive a transfer request for a packet from the receiver; select a header plane of the header planes based on a header of the packet; and queue the transfer request at the input queue of the header plane.

  • Publication number: 20250114218
Abstract: Kits and methods for use in intraoperative trialling of hip prostheses to determine an appropriate length for the femoral neck component of a prosthetic hip joint, are described. A kit for use in selecting a femoral neck component of an orthopaedic joint prosthesis kit comprises a first and a second broach. Each of the first and second broaches has a neck connection element comprising a projection extending from a proximal surface of the broach, each projection having a length. The projection on the first broach has a different length than the projection on the second broach. The kit also includes a trial femoral neck component having a neck connection element in the form of a recess in a distal surface.

  • Publication number: 20250114955
Abstract: A slider cartridge for an out-the-front knife and method of assembly is provided. The out-the-front knife includes a knife handle and a knife blade that is selectively deployable out of a front of the knife handle to move from a stowed position within the handle to a deployed position out of the handle. The slider cartridge includes a slider plate, a pair of opposing catches, and at least one biasing element. The pair of opposing catches are configured to be retained on opposing ends of the slider plate under a bias of the at least one biasing element in a self-retained assembly that is manipulable in space apart from the knife handle and the knife blade. The pair of catches further include opposing tabs that protrude outwardly from a center of the catch to assist in securing each respective catch to an opposing end of the slider plate.

  • Publication number: 20250119829
Abstract: This disclosure provides methods, components, devices and systems for multi-hop support for coordinated medium access. Some aspects more specifically relate to one or more mechanisms according to which an access point (AP) may indicate how many hops a medium access schedule is to be re-announced throughout a wireless network. In some examples, a first AP may select a medium access schedule and may transmit timing information indicative of communication periods associated with the medium access schedule and a value associated with a multi-hop propagation of the timing information. A second AP may receive the timing information and the value and may selectively transmit the timing information in accordance with the value. For example, if the value is indicative of greater than or equal to a threshold hop count value, the second AP may propagate the timing information associated with the communication periods of the first AP.

  • Publication number: 20250114215
Abstract: An implant for therapeutically separating bones of a joint has two endplates each having an opening through the endplate, and at least one ramped surface on a side opposite a bone engaging side. A frame is slideably connected to the endplates to enable the endplates to move relative to each other at an angle with respect to the longitudinal axis of the implant, in sliding connection with the frame. An actuator screw is rotatably connected to the frame. A carriage forms an open area aligned with the openings in the endplates. The openings in the endplates pass through the carriage to form an unimpeded passage from bone to bone of the joint. The carriage has ramps which mate with the ramped surfaces of the endplates, wherein when the carriage is moved by rotation of the actuator screw, the endplates move closer or farther apart.

  • Patent number: 12271370
Abstract: A system and method for efficiently matching into an extremely large data set uses two data stores. A search data store contains identifiers that correspond to localized portions of the main data store, along with matching values for that portion of the main data store. To perform a matching operation, the search data store is first searched for a matching value. Then the identifier for the localized portion of the main data store is retrieved from the search data store. Using this identifier, a search may be performed against only the corresponding localized portion of the main data store rather than the entire main data store.
