  • Patent number: 12268612
Abstract: An implant for therapeutically separating bones of a joint has two endplates each having an opening through the endplate, and at least one ramped surface on a side opposite a bone engaging side. A frame is slideably connected to the endplates to enable the endplates to move relative to each other at an angle with respect to the longitudinal axis of the implant, in sliding connection with the frame. An actuator screw is rotatably connected to the frame. A carriage forms an open area aligned with the openings in the endplates. The openings in the endplates pass through the carriage to form an unimpeded passage from bone to bone of the joint. The carriage has ramps which mate with the ramped surfaces of the endplates, wherein when the carriage is moved by rotation of the actuator screw, the endplates move closer or farther apart.

  • Publication number: 20250112859
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for validating an identifier using a dynamic matching scheme, including software-defined-matching or hardware-validated-matching. Software-defined-matching may determine whether two identifiers are logically the same when they are both generated by a software application and match each other, and hardware-validated-matching may determine whether the identifier provided by a message stamping process generated by a hardware component of the device matches a second identifier. The flexible validation process can allow the origin of the device to be trusted when the device is sending communications in the network, while detaching the trust from the user that is operating the trusted device or installing software (e.g., an operating system) on the device for temporary use. By disassociating the trust and independently verifying the device separate from the user operating the device, the communications sent and received by the system can be further trusted or distrusted accordingly.

  • Publication number: 20250113171
Abstract: An electronic device may use information about the location of nearby devices to make sharing with those devices more intuitive for a user. When two devices are pointed towards one another, each device may automatically present the option to share information with the other device. When a user wishes to share information with one or more devices in a group of users, an array of icons representing the nearby users may be positioned on the display according to the locations of the nearby users so that the sharing user can easily select which user he or she wishes to share with. A sharing user may broadcast a signal and nearby users may elect to receive the signal by pointing their devices towards the sharing user. A user of two devices may share information between the two devices and may use one device to manipulate the information on the other device.

  • Publication number: 20250113313
Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer storage media, for coordinated scheduling of service periods (SPs). In some aspects, an access point (AP) may receive timing information indicating an SP associated with an overlapping basic service set (OBSS) and may transmit, to its associated STAs, coordinated timing information indicating the timing of the SP in relation to its timing synchronization function (TSF) timer. In some aspects, the AP may adjust the timing information to account for an offset between its TSF timer and a TSF timer associated with the OBSS. In some other aspects, the AP may synchronize its TSF timer with the TSF timer associated with the OBSS. The AP may further communicate with the STAs based on the coordinated timing information. For example, the AP may schedule communications with the STAs to be orthogonal to communications in the OBSS during the SP.

  • Publication number: 20250111118
Abstract: Provided are methods and apparatus that provide for removing unnecessary configuration information from the bitstream to configure a field programmable gate array (FPGA) using a reduced bitstream stylized as a “microbitstream.” The method and apparatus split FPGA configuration information into two separate configurations to reduce the initial configuration while applying encryption and authentication to the initial bitstream and leverage partial reconfiguration through a bootloader to load in secondary functionalities during or after run time of the initial configuration. Encryption and authentication are also applied to secure the bitstream from tampering, cloning, and malicious insertions. The present apparatus and methods achieve significant reductions in the total configuration time of an FPGA, which is particularly useful for time-sensitive systems, thus decreasing program development costs and time spent in the design process.

  • Publication number: 20250113393
Abstract: This disclosure provides methods, components, devices, and systems for reconfiguration signaling for seamless roaming. Some aspects more specifically relate to reconfiguration signaling to facilitate link addition and link deletion operations for roaming, such as seamless roaming. Either a wireless station (STA) or an access point (AP) device may initiate the roaming. In some examples, a first device, such as the STA, a serving AP device, or a target AP device, may transmit a reconfiguration request to a second device, requesting to perform a link addition operation on links of the target AP device or to perform a link deletion operation on links of the serving AP device. The second device, which may be the STA, the serving AP device, or the target AP device, may transmit a reconfiguration response to indicate which links are to be deleted or added.

  • Publication number: 20250109679
Abstract: A borehole system and a method of installing a liner in a borehole. A liner is disposed in the borehole. A cement is flowed into an annulus between the liner and a wall of the borehole. An acoustic sensor is disposed within the liner and measures an acoustic impedance of the annulus as the cement is flowing into the annulus. A processor determines a depth of an upper surface of the wet cement from the acoustic impedance and performs an operation based on the depth of the upper surface of the wet cement.

  • Publication number: 20250113339
Abstract: This disclosure provides methods, components, devices, and systems for signaling for dynamic subchannel operation (DSO). Some aspects more specifically relate to indicating a set of subchannels supported for DSO. In some implementations, a wireless station (STA) may transmit a frame indicating subchannels supported for DSO (for example, for a specific link). An access point (AP) may receive the frame and may assign, using a control frame, one or more frequency resources of a subchannel of the set of subchannels to the STA for DSO. The STA may dynamically switch to the subchannel and may communicate via the subchannel while operating in a DSO mode. In some implementations, the STA may transmit capabilities information indicating that the STA supports the DSO mode. Additionally, or alternatively, the STA may dynamically enable or disable the DSO mode using action frames or aggregated-control (A-Control) subfields. The AP may support similar signaling.
