  • Patent number: 9665873
Abstract: The invention relates to a system and method for analyzing an activity session. Data from a monitoring device worn by a user of the system for example is received over a period of time or distance and a classification system of the invention is utilized in real time or post session to determine the activities performed by the user during the session. The data collected relates to multiple parameters monitored during the activity session. The classification system defines an activity using a set of threshold criteria for a combination of parameters and therefore identifies a particular activity performed during the activity session when a combination of monitored parameters satisfies the threshold criteria for a particular activity. Determining the activities performed in this way allows for more useful interpretation of the data which in turn leads to more effective coaching advice and feedback for the user.

  • Publication number: 20170032191
Abstract: The invention provides a method of analysing a sporting activity comprising receiving location data associated to a first player; receiving location data associated to a game object; receiving location data associated to a second player; determining a relative location of the first player in (5) relation to the game object location and the second player location, at least partly from the received location data associated to the first player, the game object and/or the second player; comparing the determined relative location of the first player with a set of reference relative locations of the first player; and determining a match between the determined relative location of the first player and at least one reference relative location of the first player. Other aspects of the (10) invention provide a classification system.

  • Publication number: 20160248208
Abstract: A new infrastructure for mobile devices and electronic loose equipment, preferably an aircraft infrastructure, is designed to be deployed for both new production aircraft and the after-market installed base for all parts of the aircraft that have human interaction, such as the galley, cockpit or cabin. The architecture is designed around two main objectives: creating stylized and functional products with flexibility in design and providing reliability and maintainability for operators while integrating power and charging mediums to those devices. This architecture is composed of several elements that as a whole complete our new architecture for mobile devices and electronic loose equipment design.

  • Patent number: 8000999
Abstract: A method and system for providing an ad is disclosed. The method of one embodiment comprises combining an ad input file with a conduit file to create an integrated ad file, wherein the ad input file identifies at least the content of the ad and the conduit file identifies at least the tracking data for the ad. The integrated ad file may then be served. According to a further embodiment, the method further includes effectuating a modification to the ad content by updating the ad input file, recombining the modified ad input file with the conduit file to create a modified integrate ad file and serving the modified integrated ad file.

  • Patent number: 7770030
Abstract: A system and method for enabling broadcast programs to be copied once only by consumer recorders includes writing a unique media identification on each blank disk to which content is to copied in a read-only area of the disk before it is initially recorded. Also, a one-way key management media key block is written to the disk. A content key is derived by combining a media key, derived from the media key block, with the media identification. Additionally, to facilitate copying the content one time only, an exchange key is established between the recorder and a sender such as a satellite receiver or a disk player that is associated with the recorder, and the exchange key is modified with one or more special numbers representing control commands including copy once and copy no more. The modified exchange key is then encrypted using the content key to render an encrypted modified exchange key, and the encrypted modified exchange key is then hashed with a nonce to render a bus content key.

  • Patent number: 7240338
Abstract: Common data structures associated with procedurally-oriented software, such as Fortran COMMON blocks, are translated into object-oriented (OO) classes. Procedurally-oriented software modules are reduced in complexity by extracting an appropriate number of sub-modules from the original source code so that the original module and each extracted module is below a predetermined complexity level, if possible. The original module and extracted modules are assigned to an object-oriented class based upon a measure of each modules' association to the respective class' data members, where the assigned modules are then translated into object-oriented methods. This approach greatly reduces overall system development time and costs by automatically generating maintainable object-oriented code based upon translated procedurally-oriented source code.

  • Publication number: 20070137518
Abstract: An anti-spin, anti-drift assembly for installation on a railroad car plug-type door locking mechanism of the type having a gear segment rotatably mounted on the door, rotatable pipes mounted on the plug-type door, rods pivotally connected to the gear segment and to the rotatable pipes so that rotation of the gear segment brings about rotation of the pipes and opening and closing of the plug-type door. The anti-spin, anti-drift assembly includes a worm gear meshing with the gear segment. A speed up gear is located at one end of the worm gear. A drive gear meshes with the speed up gear and an operating wheel rotates the drive gear.

  • Patent number: 7082413
Abstract: A system and method for enabling authorized music from a CD or DVD to be compressed by a user for the user's own use, but to prevent the recompression of unauthorized music from, e.g., the Internet, includes hashing the music during recording with a cryptographic hash, and then signing the hash with a digital signature derived from the hash. Subsequent unauthorized compression and recompression will destroy the digital signature. Accordingly, music to be recorded is hashed to obtain a test digital signature and if, after hashing, the test digital signature matches the digital signature accompanying the music, compression and recording are allowed to proceed.

  • Publication number: 20050271490
Abstract: A load restraining device that provides a system in which straps extending from one side of a web strap arrangement initially run parallel to the wall to which they are connected, as opposed to extending perpendicular to the wall as in the prior art. The anchor itself is a horizontal wall member running longitudinally along the wall of the railcar or trailer. An adjustable anchor is used to permit moving the attachment point several inches to allow for load variations. The attachment of the web strap arrangement is normally 14? to 18? behind the face of the load. Unlike previous systems, this provision of anchor points behind the load effectively “encapsulates” the load rather than merely providing a bulkhead effect.

  • Publication number: 20050084358
Abstract: A loading restraint and engaging system. The system includes a plurality of rails that are mounted to the side walls of a box car. Each rail is positioned using a locator pin that extends into the car end wall and engages the rail. An end cap or rub rail ramp is provided adjacent the box car door for assisting in moving lading into the car. Wall and floor anchors are provided. Lading restraining nets are provided which engage wall anchors and the end face(s) of the lading.
