  • Patent number: 6352183
Abstract: An undersink water delivery system that includes a housing for holding a container of water and a pump for delivering water to an air gap type faucet. The housing includes a pivotally mounted access door that assists a user in loading a container of water. The access door includes a water delivery coupling that is connected to the pump to deliver water from the container to the faucet. To load a container of water the access door is pivoted to the open position and a container of water is slid into a cradle formed in the access door until the neck of the bottle engages the water delivery coupling. The access door is pivoted upwardly (including the container of water) into the closed position. The access door thereby functions as a lever assisting a user in loading a container of water into the housing.

  • Patent number: 6059146
Abstract: A system for delivering liquids from a plurality of containers. The system has a dispenser which holds the containers in a generally side by side relationship. A unit of the system is connected to each of the containers for sequentially dispensing the liquid held by the containers to a reservoir for receiving such liquid. The unit has conduits which are connected to the openings of the container and which extend into and have openings therein at different depths in the reservoir for the sequential dispensing of the liquid from the containers into the containers. A delivery system unit is connected to the reservoir for providing the liquid to one or more outlets. The containers are removable from the system as they become empty and are replaceable with fresh ones, to thereby allow the system to continue to deliver liquid, such as bottled water.

  • Patent number: 5955702
Abstract: A protective cover for light switches of the type used to control security lights, in particular exterior security lights. The protective cover including a stationary frame adapted to be secured to a wall mounted security light switch cover having a centrally located stationary frame aperture for receiving the light switch toggle therethrough. A movable frame is hingedly attached to the stationary frame and includes a centrally located movable frame aperture for receiving said switch toggle therethrough when said movable frame is hinged closed. A centrally located toggle cover covers the light switch toggle when the movable frame is in its protective closed position, thereby guarding against an individual inadvertently switching the switch toggle.

  • Patent number: 5954216
Abstract: A water cooler water bottle has a recessed handle angled to provide a natural lifting angle for a user, without bending the user's wrist. The handle is positioned adjacent the center of gravity of the bottle so that the center of gravity is substantially or directly under the handle when the user is carrying the bottle, and so that inversion of the bottle for insertion into a water cooler is easier. The side wall tapers smoothly into the handle and the recess so that during cleaning, cleaning liquid does not pool at the handle or the recess and remain in the bottle.

  • Patent number: 5878607
Abstract: A cast saw for removing hard orthopaedic bandages, for example formed of plaster is disclosed. The cast saw is a unitary device containing a rechargeable battery pack in a removable filter form collection chamber. A shroud covers at least a portion of the saw blade and such shroud is movable by the cutting operation from the interference of the casting material as the blade is received within the casting material while cutting through such casting material. A dust channel is formed within the housing and dust and debris caused by the cutting operation is pulled through such dust channel by the forces applied by impeller rotated by an electric motor received within the housing. A pressure sensitive switch is supplied which senses an increase in force on the saw blade and increases the current supplied to the motor proportionally in order to provide additional torque to the motor.

  • Patent number: 5806947
Abstract: A foldable workbench includes a tray assembly which is supported by the support structure of the workbench. The tray assembly is releasably secured to a rear cross member of the support structure and rests against a front cross member. As the foldable workbench is moved between its open and closed position, the tray assembly pivots on the rear cross member such that is does not interfere with the folding of the workbench. The tray assembly includes a housing which is the member which is pivotably secured to the workbench and a drawer which is slidably received within the housing. The drawer includes an integrally formed latch which releasably locks the drawer in a closed position.

  • Patent number: 5695278
Abstract: A portable halogen bulb worklight fixture is formed with a housing forming a bulb containing cavity and a light emitting opening. A peripheral frame, a frame handle extending outwardly from one side of the frame. A top handle is located above the frame and a bulb storage compartment is located in the top handle. A base structure is arranged to minimize exposure of the user to heat generated by the fixture when replacing a bulb and when being transported from one site to another.

  • Patent number: 5630563
Abstract: A roll of sheet material is wound on a cylindrical hollow core, and the core and roll are together placed within a dispenser body made up of pivotally connected upper and lower covers, preferably made of a resilient plastic material and sized and shaped to provide a containment space for a full roll of sheet material. The core and roll wound thereon can be placed into the lower cover in only one direction, so that rotation of the rolled-up sheet material must occur only in a corresponding one rotational direction for unwinding of the sheet material from the roll. The upper and lower covers are formed so that there is a built-in resilient force exercised by one or the other so as to keep them pivotally separated apart. A detent mechanism is provided to limit the amount by which the two covers can thus pivotally separate during use. By their pivotal separation, the covers define a small forward gap through which the sheet material may be withdrawn.

  • Patent number: 5595228
Abstract: A utility box for storing and/or carrying articles to a remote site has a base and a cover with a clamping vise incorporated as an integral portion of the cover. The base is a box-like structure defining a chamber for holding the articles and having a set of four pedestals which provide a supporting structure for the integral vise. The base further includes an integral pair of clamping feet which extend from two of the pedestals to form a surface which can be used to clamp the utility box to a relatively stationary surface. The cover is hingedly secured to the base and mates with a positioning rib extending from the base in order to locate and position the cover with respect to the base. The integral vise defines a worksurface and includes a stationary jaw and a movable jaw. The movable jaw is movable via a pair of threaded rods which are rotatably mounted to the cover.
