  • Publication number: 20240100496
Abstract: According to one or more embodiments of the present disclosure, a riser may be operated by a method including repeatedly heating and cooling a riser between an operational temperature and a non-operational temperature. When the riser is heated from a non-operational temperature to an operational temperature, the riser undergoes thermal expansion. When the riser is cooled from an operational temperature to a non-operational temperature, the riser undergoes thermal contraction. The riser undergoes irreversible growth over repeated heating and cooling cycles, and the length of a lower section of an upper riser portion is sized to accommodate the irreversible growth from cycled thermal expansion of the riser.

  • Publication number: 20240027346
Abstract: The disclosure relates to a method for detecting a nerve agent in an analyte, said nerve agent having a phosphorus-fluorine bond, which method comprises: (a) contacting the analyte with a solid state composition comprising a sensor compound; wherein the sensor compound comprises a basic nitrogen atom and a hydroxyaryl moiety protected by a silyl protecting group; and wherein, in the presence of hydrogen fluoride, said silyl group is cleaved to effect deprotection of the hydroxyl group thus forming a luminescent reporter compound; (b) irradiating the solid state composition at a predetermined wavelength; (c) measuring the luminescence to determine if the reporter compound is present; and (d) determining whether the nerve agent is present in the analyte based on the measurement obtained in step (c).

  • Patent number: 11812587
Abstract: The description relates to cooling electronic components, such as computing devices. One example includes a rack defining a volume and multiple sealed chassis modules removably fluidly coupled to a two-phase condenser tank via a vapor coupler and a liquid coupler. Individual sealed chassis modules can contain one or more electronic components immersed in two-phase coolant that when heated by operation of the electronic components experiences a phase change from a liquid phase to a gas phase and travels to the two-phase condenser tank via the vapor coupler and is cooled in the two-phase condenser tank until experiencing a phase change back into the liquid phase. Individual sealed chassis modules can be decoupled from the two-phase condenser tank without releasing two-phase coolant and an entirety of the multiple sealed chassis modules and the condenser tank are contained in the volume of the rack.
