    Abstract: A platform bed frame particularly adapted for hotel use is provided including a pair of slat supporting rails that have a plurality of cavities along the length of the slat supporting rails. A plurality of slats form a mattress supporting surface and span between the slat supporting rails and have end lower conforming surfaces that fit into the cavities to secure the slats to the slat supporting rails. There are side rails and end rails that snap onto the slat supporting rails so that the assembly of the platform bed frame can be accomplished without the use of tools. There are two component legs that also allow an adjustment of the height of the platform supporting platform between a high and a low position. In the low position a foundation may be included underlying the mattress and a lesser number of slats can be used.

    Abstract: In a method for providing secure communication of a data string along a communication path, a first entity and first identifier, and a second entity and second identifier, are added to a registry database. A current value of the first identifier is provided to a first device to enable a first encoding of the data string, where the first encoding encodes a plurality of bit sequences in the data string as a first plurality of encoded bit sequences. A current value of the second identifier is provided to a second device downstream of the first device to enable a second encoding of the data string, where the second encoding encodes the first plurality of encoded bit sequences as a second plurality of encoded bit sequences. The current values of the first and second identifiers are provided to a third (e.g., destination) device to enable decoding of the data string.

    Abstract: A method and apparatus for deshelling shellfish, particularly lobsters. An automated processing line conveys shell-fish through a plurality of stations that sanitize, butcher, cut, and extract the meat, and then packages and prepares the package for sale. Vision systems with multi-axis robots guide and manipulate the shellfish through the processing line. Customized breaking blocks are used to sever parts of the shellfish, for example, the tail, knuckles and claws of a lobster, and a customized gripping device is provided for securing the severed parts in position on a conveyor. A water knife is then used to precisely cut the shell of the severed part.

A plastic shield or shields cover the entire cross sectional area of the side and cross rails so that the side rail and cross rails are easy to handle and esthetically pleasing. The system avoids the need for a person to handle cold, sometimes dirty, steel and the cross and side rails may be T-shaped or L-shaped angle irons, or other configurations and covered with plastic shields. With the plastic shields, the steel members need not be finished since the outer appearance of the steel is encased by the plastic shields and not seen by persons.

One of the structural members has a wedge and the other of the structural members has a cavity formed in a receiver. The wedge has a plurality of exterior surfaces that contact with a plurality of interior surfaces formed in the cavity. There may be four interior and exterior surfaces of the wedge and receiver and at least two of the surfaces taper inwardly in the downward direction. The interfitting of the wedge into the receiver make a solid connection that is enhanced by weight of the bedding positioned thereon. The connection resists twisting forces as well as lateral and fore and aft forces.

In some embodiments, the level of attenuation provided by the lens may vary based on the intensity of light present while maintaining selective filtering at 480 nm and 580 nm.
