  • Publication number: 20220102828
Abstract: The invention compensates for abnormal operating temperatures and/or abnormal behaviors of a holographic metasurface antenna (HMA) that is generating a beam based on a holographic function. The HMA is characterized with different holographic functions for a plurality of operating temperatures and a plurality of behaviors during the manufacturing process. The characterization of the HMA identifies different hologram functions that cause the HMA to generate more or less heat or exhibit more or less abnormal behavior while generating equivalent beams. Further, or more characterizations of a hologram function may be performed remotely after the HMA is installed in a real world environment. An operating temperature and/or a temperature gradient may be detected by temperature sensors physically located on a circuit board for the HMA.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides an autonomous vehicle and associated interface system that includes multiple vehicle interface computing devices that provide redundant vehicle commands. As one example, an autonomous vehicle interface system can include a first vehicle interface computing device located within the autonomous vehicle and physically coupled to the autonomous vehicle. The first vehicle interface computing device can provide a first plurality of selectable vehicle commands to a human passenger of the autonomous vehicle. The autonomous vehicle interface system can further include a second vehicle interface computing device that provides a second plurality of selectable vehicle commands to the human passenger. For example, the second vehicle interface computing device can be the passenger's own device (e.g., smartphone). The second plurality of selectable vehicle commands can include at least some of the same vehicle commands as the first plurality of selectable vehicle commands.

  • Publication number: 20220094706
Abstract: Embodiments are directed to monitoring network traffic using network monitoring computers (NMCs). Networks may be configured to protect servers using centralized security protocols. Centralized security protocols may depend on centralized control provided by authentication control servers. If a client intends to access protected servers it may communicate with the authentication control server to obtain keys that enable it to access the requested servers. NMCs may monitor network traffic the centralized security protocol to collect metrics associated with the control servers, clients, or resource servers.

  • Publication number: 20220084831
Abstract: Vapor deposition processes are provided for bottom up filling of trenches and other structures with metal nitrides such as vanadium nitride and titanium nitride. In some embodiments, VCl4 can be used as an etchant source in the deposition processes. The reaction conditions are selected such that some Cl2 forms in the reaction space and preferentially etches deposited metal nitride at the upper surfaces of a trench or other three-dimensional feature on a substrate. The self-etching during the deposition process facilitates a bottom up filling of the feature and may reduce or eliminate the formation of seams or voids.

  • Publication number: 20220069448
Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure relate to methods, apparatus, and systems for mitigating signal attenuation at a body-worn device transmitting a radio signal. An antenna structure for the body-worn device includes an antenna array configured to radiate at least one radio signal and a conductive band capacitively coupled to the antenna array. The conductive band is configured to detachably couple to a body of a user, and mitigate attenuation of the at least one radio signal when the conductive band is coupled to the body. The conductive band mitigates the attenuation by facilitating a radio frequency (RF) signal current corresponding to the at least one radio signal to flow through the conductive band and preventing absorption of the RF signal current by the body.
