Abstract: The present teaching relates to communication related to predictions. A communication chain is created with multiple chain units, each operating independently to provide prediction services related to a prompt with embedded information therein associated with predictions for the prompt to enable prediction services. A request is received for a requested operation related to a query prompt on one of prediction solicitation, prediction entry, verification entry, and prediction access. If a chain unit for the query prompt, the request is directed to the chain unit to perform the requested operation. If not, a new chain unit is created for the query prompt and the request is forwarded to the new chain unit to carry out the requested operation.

Abstract: A devices for coupling or mounting machine elements with a minimized coefficient of friction, as well as methods of minimizing the coefficient of friction in said devices are described herein. The device includes reciprocal inclined surfaces with a liner for minimizing friction therebetween. The liner, or liners, include an anti-friction fabric for reducing friction between the inclined surfaces.

Abstract: In one aspect, an electronic gaming system is provided. The electronic gaming system may cause to be displayed on a display device a game interface including a matrix having a plurality of symbol positions for displaying a symbol within each symbol position, generate, based on an RNG call outcome, an optimal game outcome, programmatically select a suboptimal game outcome based on the generated optimal game outcome, display at least a portion of the suboptimal game outcome in the matrix, cause to be displayed a prompt to select from a plurality of user options to modify at least one symbol of the at least a portion of the suboptimal game outcome displayed in the matrix, modify, based on a selection received from a user of one of the plurality of user options, the symbols displayed in the matrix, and determine if the optimal game outcome is displayed.

Abstract: Provided are chimeric antigen receptors (CARs), which contain extracellular antigen-binding domains that bind to G Protein-Coupled Receptor Class C Group 5 Member D (GPRC5D) and B-cell maturation antigen (BCMA). The disclosure further relates to genetically engineered cells expressing such CARs, and uses thereof in adoptive cell therapy.

Abstract: Systems and methods for providing variable trick-play mode playback of media content in accordance with embodiments of the invention are disclosed. A playback device stores images of the media content associated with presentation times and marker information for the media content that indicates the presentation time of moments of interest. When a trick-play mode is invoked, the playback device determines a presentation time of a next marker in the playback. The playback device determines whether the current presentation time of the playback is within a specified range of the presentation time of the next marker and adjusts the speed of the trick-play playback based on the determination. The next frame to present is determined based on the adjusted speed of the trick-play playback and displayed.

Abstract: Systems and methods for transferring data via a two-way radio transmission are described herein. An example method commences with collecting asset data, determining conditions for transmission of the asset data to a data server, and determining a mode for the transmission of the asset data. The method continues with preprocessing the asset data for the transmission. The preprocessing includes determining that the conditions for transmission of the asset data satisfy predetermined criteria and setting priorities for one or more parts of the asset data. The priorities are set based at least on a type of the data and a location of the data collection device. The method further includes transmitting the asset data to a data server. The asset data is transmitted based on the mode for the transmission and the priorities via at least one of the one or more communication channels.

In addition, the registration server is configured to provide the first device with a first set of activation information in a first format, the first device is configured to store the first set of activation information in non-volatile memory, the registration server is configured to provide the second device with a second set of activation information in a second format, and the second device is configured to store the second set of activation information in non-volatile memory.

Abstract: A disclosed edge computing platform includes an edge orchestrator (EO) and one or more distributed endpoints. The EO includes an edge proxy, an edge control plane resource, and a service mesh. The service mesh includes a plurality of services, each of which is paired with a corresponding Envoy proxy. The edge proxy communicatively couples the service mesh to a mesh communication tunnel. The edge control plane resource is configured to enable secure routing based on edge estate data maintained in an external store and ownership authorization data in accordance with a suitable authentication technology (e.g. FDO). Each distributed endpoint includes a downstream connectivity module (DCM) including a DCM proxy coupling the distributed endpoint to the mesh communication tunnel. The distributed endpoints may include edge compute endpoints and external compute fabrics. Disclosed teachings enable secure service-to-service communication across the entire edge estate irrespective of types and location of services.

Abstract: Systems and methods for application identification in accordance with embodiments of the invention are disclosed. In one embodiment, a user device includes a processor and memory configured to store an application, a session manager, an application identifier, and at least one shared library, and the processor is configured by the session manager to communicate the application identifier and the application identifier data to an authentication server and permit the execution of the application in response to authentication of the application by the authentication server.
