  • Publication number: 20030197329
Abstract: The game of craps is modified to allow a player to make an HARD WAY CRAPS bet instead of the standard ODDS bet. The HARD WAY CRAPS bet is available whenever a point number of 4, 6, 8, or 10 has been rolled and the player has a PASS line or COME line wager. If the point is 6 or 8, the HARD WAY CRAPS bet would pay two-to-one odds if the point is made with a 3,3 or 4,4 and would pay one-to-one odds if the point is made with any other roll. If the point is 4 or 10, the HARD WAY CRAPS bet would be pay four-to-one odds if the point is made with a 2,2 or 5,5 and would pay one-to-one odds if the point is made with any other roll. A corollary wager is offered for the DON'T PASS line or the DON'T COME line.

  • Publication number: 20030164590
Abstract: Whenever the player achieves one of the predetermined types of starting hand combinations on the initial deal of a hand of video poker, then the player is provided with the opportunity to split his starting hand into two or more hands without having to make an additional wager. After the player has split his original starting hand, additional cards are dealt from the remaining cards to complete five cards hands. Each of the final five card hands are analyzed to determine the poker hand ranking. The player receives an award for each hand that has a winning poker hand ranking and the amount of the award is based on a pay table and the amount wagered by the player. • Patent number: 6568680
Abstract: A card game is described in which a player makes a total wager prior to the initial starting hand being dealt. One hand of five cards is displayed to the player with all of the initial cards being dealt face up. The player then determines how many times the player wishes to play the initial starting hand and the total wager is divided into multiple parts, each part being allocated to a different play of the initial starting hand. The player then plays the starting hand for a FIRST PLAY and the player then selects none, one or more of the face up cards as cards to be held. Replacement cards for the non-selected cards are dealt into the hand and the poker hand ranking of the FIRST PLAY is determined. The initial deal of the starting cards is then re-used and becomes a SECOND PLAY. The player again selects none, one or more of the face up cards as cards to be held. Replacement cards for the non-selected cards are dealt and the poker hand ranking of the SECOND PLAY is determined.

  • Patent number: 6517074
Abstract: A card game is described in which the player plays multiple hands of cards. At the beginning of each round of the game, the player determines how many times the player wishes to play the initial deal of the cards and makes an appropriate wager to cover those multiple plays of the initial hand of cards. One hand of five cards is dealt, all five cards face up. The player selects none, one or more of the face up cards from the first hand as cards to be held. Replacement cards for the non-selected cards are dealt into the first hand and the poker hand ranking of the first hand is determined. The initial deal of cards is then re-used and becomes a second hand. The player again selects none, one or more of the face up cards from the second hand as cards to be held. Replacement cards for the non-selected cards are dealt into the second hand and the poker hand ranking of the second hand is determined.

  • Publication number: 20030003980
Abstract: An apparent game of skill or knowledge is used as a secondary event bonus game which is won by the player during the play of a conventional gaming machine. A gaming machine is played and, upon the occurrence of a predetermined outcome of the gaming machine, the player wins an opportunity to play the secondary event bonus round game. The computer controls of the electronic gaming machine select the amount of the award 8 to be won by the player during the play of the secondary event game. The player then plays out the secondary event game, which appears to the player to be a game of skill or knowledge. Regardless of how the player fares during the play of the secondary event game, the play of the secondary event game continues until the player has achieved the predetermined amount that was selected by the computer controls.

  • Publication number: 20020198037
Abstract: A game of chance is based on a keno-type game which uses one or more groups of number ranges, such as a HI group of number ranges, a LO group of number ranges and a HI/LO group of number ranges. A player makes a wager on one or more of the groups of number ranges. Each number range in a group has payout odds assigned thereto. After all wagers are made, a predetermined amount of numbers, say twenty, are randomly selected from the pool of numbers, say eighty. The numbers randomly selected are added up to determine a numerical total. The number range in which the numerical total falls is determined and the player is provided an award based on the payout odds for the number range within which the numerical total falls. The number range feature of the present invention may also be used in conjunction with a regular game of keno.
