  • Patent number: 7422194
Abstract: A solenoid valve, such as, for example, a tank-vent valve f or tank venting in motor vehicles, includes at least one valve orifice forming a sealing seat, and a valve member, which cooperates with the sealing seat for releasing and closing it, the valve member being stressed by at least one spring element and activated by an electromagnet. An essentially unstressed neutral position of at least one additional spring element, which acts upon the valve member in the activation direction, is provided in which the valve member is set apart from the sealing seat. In this manner, the impact of the valve member on the sealing seat, which may be accompanied by distracting noises and wear, is damped.

  • Patent number: 6919786
Abstract: An actuator (1) has two parts in the iron circuit and has a simple construction. A short-circuit element (3) has an offset (90), which depending on the position of an armature (9) varies the course (60) of magnetic flux in such a way that over the entire stroke, a constant, high magnetic force is achieved, and thus a shallow course of magnetic force in stroke is attained.

  • Patent number: 6901942
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for producing a throttle valve unit for installation into a flow conduit through which a gas flow passes. A flap shaft of the throttle valve unit is affixed to a stamped insert part inside a fastening region. The stamped insert part, which includes an insert border, is molded into a housing. At the same time as the stamped insert part is molded into the housing, the flap shaft affixed to the stamped insert part is molded-in inside the fastening region. A planar region of the stamped insert part connected to the flap shaft is cut out from this stamped insert part.

  • Patent number: 6889708
Abstract: A valve (1) has a filter (18) integrated in the housing (3, 5), The filter is located in the vicinity of an intake-valve opening (9), by way of which a smaller physical size and a larger opening cross-section for an influent regeneration gas to the convergent-divergent nozzle results.

  • Patent number: 6885189
Abstract: A measuring instrument for contactless detection of an angle of rotation comprises a carrier plate (52) consisting of a magnetically soft material that serves as a rotor. The stator of the sensor comprises at least two parts, the ends (18 and 17) of which terminate in two planes. The measuring gap (M1) containing an element (20) that is sensitive to a magnetic field is located between the ends (18, 17). Due to the fact that the ends (17, 18) of the two stator parts (13, 14) terminate in different planes, the measuring element (20) can be situated in a very small measuring gap (M1) in which the magnetic flux of the magnet (5) can be concentrated.

  • Patent number: 6739361
Abstract: A method and an apparatus operate a tank system including a tank system of a motor vehicle. The tank system includes a tank for receiving a fluid medium forming a volatile substance and an adsorption filter connected to the tank for receiving the volatile substance which emanates from the tank. A shutoff valve is connected to the adsorption filter and is drivable between an open position and a closed position whereat the tank system is closed off to the ambient. A tank fill-level sensor detects the fill level of the fluid medium in the tank. A fill pipe is connected to the tank for filling with the fluid medium. The fill level is detected while tanking and the shutoff valve is driven into the closed position when the fill level has reached a maximum fill level.

  • Publication number: 20040025851
Abstract: With metered admixing of volatized fuel in an intake manifold of an internal combustion engine with a supercharger, the problem exists that depending on the respective operating state, different pressures prevail in the intake manifold. This problem is resolved in known devices, in that return valves are subsequently added and structurally separated from the tank aeration valve in the flow direction. The present invention proposes that the return valves (39, 40) are structurally integrated in a tank aeration valve (5), in order to reduce the assembly expense and the spatial requirements.

  • Patent number: 6651951
Abstract: A magnet valve according to the related art has a sealing and damping device with an elastic region on which, during operation, a force acts due to different existing pressures that must also be overcome when the armature plate is moved. A magnet valve (1) designed according to the invention has a sealing and damping device (46) with an elastic region (105) that is oriented and designed in relation to a seal seat (103) in such a fashion that the above-described force is offset. As a result, a better characteristic curve of the magnet valve (1) over the existing differential pressure is obtained.

  • Patent number: 6604516
Abstract: In a flap valve for controlling a gas stream, having a valve tube that carries the gas stream and having a valve flap, disposed in the valve tube, that is pivotable between a closing position and an open position and is seated in a manner fixed against relative rotation on an adjustable flap shaft, to avoid openings of the shaft in the valve tube inside the sealing region between the valve flap and the valve tube, the flap shaft is oriented such that its axis forms an acute angle (&agr;) with the axis of the valve tube. The valve flap seated on the flap shaft in a manner fixed against relative rotation is oriented such that in its closing position, its surface normal is aligned with the axis of the valve tube or extends at an acute angle to it.

  • Publication number: 20030047232
Abstract: A method and an apparatus operate a tank system including a tank system of a motor vehicle. The tank system includes a tank for receiving a fluid medium forming a volatile substance and an adsorption filter connected to the tank for receiving the volatile substance which emanates from the tank. A shutoff valve is connected to the adsorption filter and is electrically drivable between an open position and a closed position whereat the tank system is closed off pressure tight with respect to the ambient. A tank fill-level sensor detects the fill level of the fluid medium in the tank and transmits a signal indicative of the fill level of the fluid medium. A fill pipe is connected to the tank for filling the tank with the fluid medium. The fill level is detected while tanking the tank and the shutoff valve is driven into the closed position when the fill level has reached a maximum fill level. The shutoff valve can also be driven to close by applying a clocked drive signal thereto.

  • Patent number: 6516786
Abstract: A control unit (50) makes a single control signal available for driving the through-flow control valves (TEV1, TEV2) (51, 52). Through-flow valve (TEV2) has a larger maximum through flow than through-flow control valve (TEV1). A delay circuit is indicated by the phantom outline (52′) and is mounted at the valve stage TEV2 (52). The delay circuit includes an electric delay element (53) with the aid of which the original control signal is delayed in time by an amount &Dgr;t1 relative to the control signal of control valve (TEV1). The resulting delayed signal is supplied to an AND-gate (54) together with the original control signal. Accordingly, a control signal is present at the output of the AND-gate for the control valve (TEV2). The time delay makes possible the exclusive activation of the through-flow control valve (TEV1) (51) at low pulse duty factors. In this way, a high small quantity meterability is achieved.
