Abstract: An apparatus and method for forming a film hole in an outer wall of an airfoil. The film hole includes a blind opening adjacent the interior of the airfoil and a hole adjacent the exterior of the airfoil. The blind opening fluidly couples to the hole to form the film hole for providing a volume of fluid as a surface cooling film along the exterior of the outer wall.

Abstract: An apparatus and method for cooling a blade tip for a turbine engine can include an blade, such as a cooled turbine blade, having a tip rail extending beyond a tip wall enclosing an interior for the blade at the tip. A plurality of film-holes can be provided in the tip rail. A flow of cooling fluid can be provided through the film-holes from the interior of the blade to cool the tip of the blade.

Abstract: A method, system and computer program product for managing a calendar application. A need to optimize a calendar is identified. Furthermore, a period of time to optimize the calendar is received or identified. All the scheduled events (e.g., scheduled meetings) in the calendar are then selected during that period of time. The attendees, topics and flags, if any, for each of the selected scheduled events during the period of time are extracted. Prior collaborations with the user involving the extracted attendees and/or topics of the selected scheduled events are identified. Collaboration data (e.g., participants/senders/attendees, topics) is then extracted from the identified prior collaborations. A list of actions (e.g., delegate scheduled event to another user) is generated to be performed on a selected scheduled event based on the extracted collaboration data. The generated list of actions to be performed on the selected scheduled event is then presented to the user.

Abstract: A system for re-registering an input-limited device, such as a voice-enabled device, with a captive portal access point that requires completion of a portal webpage prior to allowing client devices access to a network, such as the Internet, is described. Such captive portal access points are commonly found in hotels, and may be used for both freely provided public WiFi and for connections that require providing payment. For re-registration of the input-limited device with the captive portal access point, a server may send a notification to a mobile computing device associated with the input-limited device.

Abstract: Technologies related to intermediary graphics rendition are generally described. In some examples, an intermediary computing device may store graphics models in a model store. A server computing device may generate and send a compositing flow to the intermediary computing device. The compositing flow may comprise model identifiers and model rendering information. The intermediary computing device may retrieve models identified in the compositing flow from the model store, and provide the identified models and model rendering information to a Graphics Processing Unit (GPU) for rendering. The GPU may render graphics for delivery via a network to a client device.

The method enables the client to create an online investigation order, which specify the target, the required information and documentation, and the location at which the target is likely to be at a specified time. The method enables the provider to specify an area of activity in which he agrees to provide investigation services according to online investigation orders. The method detects the location of the provider in real-time, identifies the location in which online investigation orders are required to be performed, and sends the orders to the provider according to his area of activity. The method also enable the provider to send blurred images to the client for assessment and for negotiating a price for the images.

The additive manufactured product may include a fused multilayer component comprising a nickel superalloy having a composition comprising, by weight: 7% to 11% of cobalt; 9% to 14% of chromium; 1.5% to 8% of molybdenum; up to 8% of tungsten; 4% to 6% of aluminum; 1% to 4% of titanium; up to 4.6% tantalum; up to 2% hafnium; up to 0.04% zirconium; up to 0.05% carbon; up to 0.04% boron; up to 1% niobium; and the balance nickel along with unavoidable residual elements in trace amounts. This composition may have a sum of the weight percentages of zirconium and boron that is up to 0.06%.

The paper roll sensing device may include a housing, a wireless transceiver, and a time-of-flight sensor. The time of flight sensor may measure a distance from the time-of-flight sensor to a target region. The paper roll sensing device may include one or more processors, located within the housing that communicates with the wireless transceiver and the time-of-flight sensor. The paper roll sending device may include a fastener that permits the housing to be attached to a location within a paper roll dispenser such that the time-of-flight sensor is pointed at a paper roll, wherein the target region is a portion of the paper roll.

Abstract: Techniques described herein generally relate to a task management system for a chip multiprocessor having multiple processor cores. The task management system tracks the changing instruction set capabilities of each processor core and selects processor cores for use based on the tracked capabilities. In this way, a processor core with one or more failed processing elements can still be used effectively, since the processor core may be selected to process instruction sets that do not use the failed processing elements.

Abstract: A method, electronic device, and device-readable medium are provided for improving user interaction with a unified inbox. A first view of the unified inbox includes a set of communication event listings for a number of communication events. Each listing can include at least a first user interface element for initiating a first action that operates on the corresponding communication event. Individual communication events may be viewed in the inbox. After a viewing of a given communication event, when the first view is re-displayed, additional user interface elements are displayed in relation to the just-viewed communication event. These additional user interface elements may be removed from the display as a result of a trigger condition.

In another aspect, a sprinkler is provided having a frame, a deflector rotatably connected to the frame, a nozzle, and a nozzle socket of the frame. The nozzle and nozzle socket have interlocking portions that releasably connect the nozzle to the frame. The nozzle may be easily removed for servicing. Further, the nozzle socket can be configured to receive a plurality of nozzles having different flow characteristics. A nozzle can be selected and utilized with the sprinkler according to the desired application for the sprinkler.
